Roy how long will audit take. Our ts audits (auto version of ISO 9000) would take 2 to 2 1/2 days.

You're asking about TS 16949 (automotive spec for quality systems)
Our AS 9100 audit took 2 days...it's done now.
We received 5 findings, 4 minors, 1 major (repeat issue). All fairly easy fixes though. The major probably wouldn't have been a finding if one of the guys on vacation had been available. However, it is what it is and we just have to fix it
The registrar was pretty thorough and I couldn't really complain about any of his findings

good morning all.
Roy, you should be sleeping in this morning...

74 going up to 88 on a mostly cloudy day. Looks like a drying out period coming and hot weather again.
I'm sure the farmers will like that to get some of the standing water out of their fields.
All you Texans, hope there is no damage from these storms coming in.

Seems the benefits don't outweigh the negatives so I will not start the rv's diesel engine. Thanks for advice.

After six years of working between 4 and 12 hours a day on the farm, it is really hard for me to adjust to basically doing nothing. Sure better than three months
being institutionalized but even reading my books is getting boring. I really can't wait until I get into a house, start planning a garden, etc. Need to get back into woodworking or some
similar hobby. I see how busy Don is keeping and I'm envious of the activity, if perhaps not all that hard work in the heat. If PT scan next week is good, will start planning on some shorter rv trips during the winter perhaps back down this way where it is warmer. Just hard for me to sit still, always been that way. Am pretty sure some of you know exactly how I feel.

heart monitor keeps reading OK. No news is good news for sure.

I hope Jim is avaialble...

David

Ill see if I can fit you in between the bike riding and the soaking in the hot pools afterwards.
But there is a problem. I'd have to spend 14 days looking at the walls of a hotel room in quarantine when I get back.

2020-08-22,

60 right now...high of 79 with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon...
Chores: Dump run, definitely. I'll see if the lawn needs mowing...front didn't look like it though. I do have some work related stuff resulting from the audit, but I think that will be a Sunday project

good morning all.
Roy, you should be sleeping in this morning...
Yeah, I should be sleeping in...I always wake up about 5 or so on weekends though

Update: Other than the dump run...I think I'm going to kick back today...
Thursday and Friday were both 15 hours days, from the time I got up until the time I got home. Thursday, I got home, drank a beer and WHAM!!! The day hit me! Hard enough where I had a tough time getting to the bedroom. Friday wasn't as bad, but I was still in bed by 1830. So, maybe a day of relaxation is called for...

Good morning! Woke up to the sound of pitter patter - Whipper walking on carpet around the bed. She usually is in her little fenced area in the sunroom at bedtime. Then I saw bright flashes of lights in the window the power went off. Rain dance worked. A surprise thundershower popped up at 5am. It is still raining total accumulation so far is .68", 67˚F.
This is the first time Whipper has pushed her fence to escape to warn us about the approaching thunderstorm. Lightning count is at 2328, within 0-30 miles.
Looking for history next week - the first time 2 hurricanes in the Gulf at the same time.

Coffee is done brewing. 57° with some fog this morning. Heading to 89° with mostly sunny skies. Got shopping done and back home before it was to hot. But siding repair project is on east side of house. Sun until 1 pm. I did manage to get all pieces cut and fitted. Forecast heat will put that on hold for a few days. No plans for today.
Been getting some great morning pictures lately.

Drew, find a nice park close by. Go for a walk. Or sit on a bench and enjoy the view. Get a dog.

Buckeye, glad you got to visit your Dad. Peanut Butter and cheese always works for me in mouse traps. Need to try it in Sparrow trap.

RS, another week of 11%.

Thomas, great yard pics.

Rick, ladder looks good. Are you still working on selling other house?

LS, blue implements look good.

RNG, I need another 12 volt Battery Saver for mower.

David, Flu shot is on my list.

Mostly, Hummingbirds are attacking the Bees and Wasp. Need more Hummingbirds to keep other birds away.

Randy, there are a lot of nice people out there wanting to help seniors and others. My problem is that some of the younger ones talk so fast I cannot understand what they are saying when they try to help. I keep having to ask them to repeat. If that does not work. Ask them to talk slower.

MFW, it has taken me 48 years to remodel my home. :confused3::D

Everyone, stay cool, healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Looking for history next week - the first time 2 hurricanes in the Gulf at the same time.

and both supposed to impact the coast next Thursday
If they increase to hurricane strength, lot of oil workers are going to have to be evacuated

went for a nice walk around the campground this morning, felt good to get some exercise.

70 and lingering fog from the rain that just stopped...another inch last night. I see some blue spots in the sky, so hope for a little sunshine and 84 before a possible evening storm.

Ron, real nice sunrise. Did you feel that 3.2 earthquake about 20 miles south of Detroit?

Don, glad you got some rain. That's too much lightning, though.

Thomas, I did my outside early morning chores...3 chipmunks were waiting for breakfast, and then the birds and squirrels came in. It's nice to see bobwhites everyday in the yard. I walked around and the ground is quite soggy...so all outside work will be on foot today, not tractor or mower.

BEF, I'm gonna have to make the same kind of trip and careful visit to see my mom. But I can't remember the last time I drove more than 60 or so miles in one day.

Does anyone know if we "flattened the curve?" I never hear that term anymore. Went inside the Kubota dealer to pick up oil and hydraulic filters for the mower...they had a "Masks" sign on the door...saw no one with one on. I asked the parts counter guy if I was the first masked customer he'd ever seen...he said, no about 50%. But Food Lion, a regional grocer, upped their game when we went there next to pick up a Coco prescription...they had one door as "enter only" and another as "exit only" and one-way traffic through the store. They had a mask guard at the door, and would give you a free one if necessary. People have sure gotten creative in making and wearing "designer" masks, but most are less effective than standard ones worn properly.

Hope riptides is getting along well.
