RNG, sent that pic to my sister and BIL regarding small fire on the coast North of them.
Point Reyes probably. Not a big one at last report. Smoke and ash from other fires are very evident, however.
Ash on the deck and car this morning. Yuk.

It was on 93˚F at noon when we stopped clearing remote tent campsites. Today was kind of fun, they had already laid the 24 crushed granite tent slabs and we got to pick out the picnic table locations around each slab and clear out the brush and trim the trees. We completed 7 of the campsites. They will also add a fire ring to each site later. Here are a couple of picks of two buildings under construction at the park, still scheduled to open in four months. This is an $11 million project with 1360 acres. We were working in area "3" of the map in this link: Special Projects

This is what greeted me this morning when I stepped out to open up the gate for the FedEx guy. That's ash all over the RTV's seat.

Like a scene out of Bladerunner 2049. Ten in the morning, and it looked like twilight.

Ted, Is that $100/year every year? ie 7400 this year, 7500 next, etc? Could make aging more interesting.

Yes! ..... but I have annual difficulty trying to convince the wifey how it's supposed to work!:D

The Costco run was uneventful, actually pleasurable. Pulled in to get gas first... at least six pumps open so no wait:D
Then went up to the store, parking spot within 100' of the entrance. Inside maybe 50 people... I got everything on the list, up to the registers, no lines!
I have never been through Costco like that!

Returned home, unpacked, and put on the comfortable clothes.... just hung out inside with the wifey.... I figured she would have enough of me after being like her tail all day, reinforcing the plan to make sure that She kicks me outside tomorrow

For dinner I did lamb steaks out on the grill, asian stir fried veggies, and the annual mixed drink.... mine: tropical fruit daiquiri w/ Bacardi rum, wifey's: Pina Colada w/ same rum. Turned out delicious....

Thanks for all the well wishes....

Just gonna chill this evening....

Kyle,

Two topics here on the trailer.

For the big move from MFW#1 to MFW#2, I am HIRING movers for MOST stuff. I'm selling two houses, I'm not gonna be cheapo this time.

For the equipment, I NEED to OWN a trailer that will haul my tractor with bush-hog at minimum. I have a 12' x 5' flatbed with rails but my ZTR will not fit. I have multiple attachments, and I have 3 Harleys, and and ATV, and a John Deer riding mower I think I'm keeping. I have space to store it. I have NO IDEA what the future will bring.

Put your sunglasses on, the future is bright!

Kyle is right, a 16’ tandem will haul anything you need to move. Besides mowers and tractors, I hauled my ‘67 Impala SS on one. You have to plan your getting in and out since the fenders don’t fold down.
The upside is if you find you don’t need it, you can get your money back.

Randy is right! I had to "skinny" out the rolled down window to get out of my impala. I usually don't haul much of anything heavy. tandem axles rated at 3500lbs each=7000lbs minus the 1500lbs the trailer weighs, so technically have 5500lb capacity. I do NOT have trailer brakes, my friends recommend the old school type with the controller in the tow vehicle. I'm really careful if I have a heavy load, give myself plenty of room to stop. Keep speed down a bit.

I cannot get too involved in anything, today is the 37th trip around the sun with my bride and soulmate! We really don't have any plans, but I still will stick close to home base today.... at least I am still smart...

Kyle, I forget to mention that I was glad to hear about your daughter playing / singing at church.

Wifey just asked if I could make a run down to Costco..... can I say no....?? Funny how it works...

Everyone have a great day!

Super Congrats LS! There is an unwritten rule about not being able to get out of Costco/Sam's for less than $100. If you manage to get out for less, they'll get you on the next trip.

Years ago I went down and helped my Ex move. I had a Subaru wagon and a 6x4 trailer. The new house was less that 4 miles away. On the second day it was 1 load to the house, 1 load to the dump, 1 load to the house, 1 load to the dump. by the time she realised she was missing things I was 300 miles away at home. :cool2:
