Lincoln Power MIG 256 Welder - general for sale - by owner
Lenoir City, TN, which is about 30 miles away from Knoxville.
If you line up for one...and get it....and they won't ship it.... I could probably bring it here (unless they'll hold it) so you can get it at your leisure. This is a serious comment, not a typical "you can go buy it and I'll store it for you" funny comment.
If this is where I think it is, it is about 11/12 miles from my house. If it's all legit, I'm also noodling around the idea of getting one for my brother in law who has one that he says is a piece of (old) junk....

Looks like 3M Speed Glass is a nice one, as is Lincoln 3350 series. (simply did a google for welding helmet reviews)
Probably never able to try one on (perhaps Home Depot has some?) so will probably be a blind purchase.
I know nothing about the welder, I know less about the helmet features someone might want.
Might not know anything until Monday and if not, then I'll presume it's to be avoided.

I used to live in Chatysnooga, so i know where Lenoir Cory is. I'm now in Shelbyville. I'll try to contact them on Monday. May be time for s road trip. Thanks for the heads up.

I've had a machine that appears to be similar to these (power mig 250) for about 30 years and had no problem with it until recently when the on/off switch appears to be faulty. It still works and I simply unplug it to turn it off. I ran a handyman service and got it for my home workshop so it hasn't seen a lot of use. Other than this all I've ever done is replace a few tips and one or two nozzles.

Looks like my machine. Bought at Auction for around $750 CDN with whip and a bigger cart a couple of years back. Prestine condition.
I opted for the model with the extra knobs and dials and have never used them once.
I had a bigger three phase Lincoln with a HD Tregassis (sp?) gun, and the OEM gun on the 256 feels a bit light and cheesy. It would be a good exucuse to opt for an upgrade.
