On flagging....it is a waste of time just being on Craigslist. Sheesh I do three or four a day....on a filtered search no less.

Most of those 'scammers' flunked English 101.
"If it sounds too good to be true, it's not"
Scamming by nature is often international and the authorities simply don't have the budgets to act.*

Geez! It's been a good while since I searched on Craigslist for anything. But I did a search today for simply "tractor". Got at least a dozen of $1000 ads. Flagged 'em 'till I tired of flagging. Total idiots, both the seller and anyone thinking that the ad is legit.

What's even more frustrating is that if you flag even half of these $1000 tractors, Craigslist will block you automatically for flagging too many posts.

There is some type of algorithm they use. I flag hundreds a month. I get that Craigslist can't catch them all, or allow one flag to get a post removed, but they are doing very little on their end to keep scam ads off the platform.
One very consistent scam ad is for a BX tractor, box blade, pictured in front of a solid metal fence. "Amanda@cullen45.live" posts scam nation wide... Literally thousands of scam posts. There is absolutely no reason this can't be automatically deleted.

Agreed. Most of our scammer ads up here are "AMANDA" ads. Peas me off to no end. And Amanda is always in a town, in the state, that everyone will recognize. I agree with you, C/L could do a lot more to eliminate that crap. I actually enjoy the "FLAG" button. Next to scam calls on the cell phone, this is my pet peeve. Although, some of the things I say to the cell caller scams, makes my wife say I have anger issues.

Yep $1,000 isn't too much to pay for tuition in the course of life.
