Good morning!!!!

Bought a used Worx mower today, Ellen wanted one to do around bushes and trees to cut down on string trimming. It’s an old 36v lead acid model, but it takes a charge fine and the job only requires about 15 minutes run time. We will see if $25 is too much. LOL
A friend of mine owns Pasco and told me they can replace the battery if need be. I didn’t want to spend too much, I’m not sure how long the enthusiasm will last.
Another hot day, but a little less humidity.
Took the Ram to the shop to get the differential fluid changed and 2” lowering shackles installed.
Had a Greene Turtle lunch and DQ blizzard for dinner/dessert. Now I’m going Comet watching.

An even 100F here right now, but supposedly, to someone, somewhere, it only feels like 93F. Humidity at 11%, what do they always say? It's a dry heat!

The lowest high for the next ten days will be 99F.

   / Good morning!!!! #115,333
Tomorrow predicts 3-4° higher!

Ouch.

Yep! I can hardly wait!

We're not even getting that reasonably cool 2-3 hours early .. right now. No rain forecasted until week after next.

So right Kyle, what we do for our loved ones, furry or not.

Basically good news on Kekoa, something of an irritated throat/nasal - the soft tissue, which kinda collapses onto self resulting in what Dr called a reverse sneeze. Of course it is aggravated by being overweight - 84.6 lbs today. I can relate.
So a couple of drugs and lecture to reduce foods especially the treats. Unfortunately the main culprit was sitting in the truck and only got the lecture 2nd hand.
Not gonna get anything else done today. I did get the cucumber seedlings transplanted.

Good evening to all! I got a very early start to the day doing some tractor work before it got too hot! Told myself I would post during a break... didn't happen! Hit 103 here today.

A dry t-storm came through this afternoon kicking out some big downdrafts which made a pretty big dust storm. Chased me inside.

Ron, nice pic of the waterfall. The birds here enjoy their morning baths also, we enjoy watching them. The pond has been going good, but is due for a thorough cleaning! Lots of debris and dirt in there now. It has been evaporating at a tremendous rate since it has gotten so hot!

Wng, good eye! I didn't even see it in the pic. Yes it is a hovercraft. It has one fan / motor blowing air into the skirt area, and another motor / prop for propulsion. Very weird to control / steer, but it will go over anything flat, it is cool over water.
I hope they are able to diagnose Coco soon, glad to hear she is at least up and about.

RNG, now you did it.... Iwas talking with my son today about getting a couple trucks of gravel... he agreed. Now it is your fault... I cannot let you get all the fun! AND, having grilled pizza! AND, playing with a fire truck.... man you got it it all!

Tomorrow I have to go into the big city to pick up a bunch of suspension parts for my daughter's Ford Excursion. She will be coming down with her family for 4 days the week after this. My son and I will rebuild her whole suspension when she is here. Over $1K in parts.

I didn't get a chance to organize anything with the RC stuff today, maybe tomorrow after I get back.

Everyone have a great evening and start to the week!

Yea Kyle.

Home from VA. Good rain down there before leaving. Just a slight rain at home today.

FIL has a few interesting rifles. Might need to message a couple of you to ask about a couple level actions.

Never got his BX23 to turn over.

More SIL drama, but that’s been par for the course lately.

Good evening all. 72F for the start, overcast light breeze. thunderstorms in area cooled it off last night but no rain. Sky cleared off, wind stayed very low and high temp was 98F feels like was 104F. Chapel to start the day, then wife's breakfast, then energy conservation. Did get 2 eyelets fixed on fly rod, and electric tire pressure gauge working. Nap was nice.
Covid update: Cooke unchanged, Montague unchanged, Grayson 736 confirmed cases,67 active cases
Ted great collection, far beyond anything I did. How do you keep the correct wing with the planes? :confused2:
RS the coons we trapped were skittish until trapped. Then they got mad! Like the Johnson beef brats myself. nice lilys
David good to hear progress
Don never heard that before, in Missouri, August was not good month for tomatoes
Drew good plan to lower caffeine, and have the camelbak for mowing :)
Roy glad you got your haircut.
Thomas pace yourself
Ron don't get overheated, nice pic, finches?
K5lwq 2 weeks sounds like a slow turnaround.
Billy, sorry you didn't get more rain, and not good about Coco
Dennis remember the visible V8, built one myself, saw a visible radial engine but when I had the money was gone. Never found another one Love the Lincoln history
RS hope you get some rain.
RNG thanks for comet info, pizza sounds good, hope you get tank cleaned out ok
David dump run sounds like you are sorting as well as reorganizing, sorry to hear about Kekoa
Ron, what are we to do with the heat then. It has to go somewhere :D
Randy hope the Worx does the job.
RNG 100F is hot. period
David not sure the culprit would respond to lecture anyway. Scooter has a way of finding new sources to mooch when old ones cutoff
Ted wish your t-storm was not dry. That was my problem with R/C, it used a lot of time and flying area were rare after leaving Rolla.
prayers for all especially Drew, Kyle's daughter and Country
stay safe and healthy you all

Drew the hottest time of the day in a Texas Summer is at 5 P.M.

103˚F here with a heat index of 110˚F.

Kyle saved the day for my mom and me by referring an a/c repair man that would come out on a Sunday in moms rural area. Her house is cool again and never got into the high 80s inside.

I was already planning a trip to HD to buy her a window unit and install it.

Thanks Kyle!

Rick, it is going to be a hot one this week. I want to go jump in the water over in San Marcos or New Braunfels.

It was more good fortune than anything Don. Glad she has A/C. I just put a new cheap digital Hunter thermostat in. It seems to let the unit run a long time, then be off for a long time.....as opposed to the old simple thermostat that was much more "hair trigger"... It will probably be better for the unit. It has a built in "time off of 3 minutes" that the compressor can't be turned off and re-started immediately. It's just that the temp probably wavers +/- 2° instead of 1°F.

I let the Speedaire sit all night and it held pressure perfectly with my good air hose connected. I used it to rebuild the mower deck pulley with the impact.

Glad to hear Kekoe is ok.

Thanks for all the prayers for my daughter. We had a scare with the wife. She started running low grade fever, with some abdominal pains, so we went to get her tested for the virus. Negative results. Now my daughter can proceed to church camp this Friday, if all else stays in line.

Feeling a bit guilty about playing hookey from church (but listened to an online version), and I didn't get much of anything done. Watered some plants, trees, tomatoes, and filled the bird bath. A big old mockingbird came and took a bath in the fresh water.....what did W.C. Fields say again Roy? :)
