Can't get as far with wheels, so you don't have to stretch out as much chain to recover it

Lol. Agreed. The few stucks I've had have been good ones and the last one added 40 foot of chain to my collection.

Tractor, truck, etc, etc. That's the difference in a 2wd and/or 4wd tractor, length of the chain required.![]()

Yep, here too. Farmers are about 75% done planting. In another couple weeks it'll start getting late.
If your rain forecast is anything like mine is, you would be better off building an ark instead of pond right now. 8 days in a row of 80% or better for thunderstorms here!!!
Yep. Sorry for the lack of updates. Been working on some other projects the last few weeks. I've drained it once and its full again. Rain everyday for the next week so still on hold at the moment.
Over the time I dug my pond and re designed the dam and took out my island, I put around 2000 hours on my 2 inch Honda water pump. I would pump it and dig a little, it would rain while I was at work during the week. I'd pump more, then let it dry out. Dig a little more. Rain filled it up. Pumped it out again. Let it dry out a couple of days. Dig a little more. That kept going over a few years.
hugs, Brandi

2020-05-25_08-11-19I used a siphon drain also, but could only siphon down 3 feet. That extra 2 inches of pipe sure helps when the pond is over full and you want it drained yesterday.:thumbsup:We had several sections of 2" waterline left over from the home build so I showed the kids how to make a siphon drain. The 2" line will move plenty of water for the current size I'm draining.
