Leak in tubeless tire

This is the way to do it right. Keep these on hand myself.
But I do admit to using the outside cord plugs until I get time to fix it correctly.

Yes they are much easier and faster and will work many times.
I also keep both kinds on hand as well as tube patches and tire boots.
For small punctures I try the external plugs also when they work it's much faster.

why not take it into a shop specializing in heavy equip tires, etc? recently had a slow leak in my ft tire (M8540) that finally broke loose from the rim
took it in for repair, they found & patched puncture for $48.
sometimes better to let the experts do it right rather than cobbling a temp repair. best of luck, respectfully

Maybe it's just me, but I have been using the outside ream/clean up hole/plug from outside since time began. I think I had to redo one in that time. And that was because I did not take the time to cut the protruding plug close enough to the tire and the plug was grinding/being pulled a little when you spun the tire. Granted, big holes need to be attacked from the inside. And attacking from the inside is usually the best way.

Don't put slime in it. I tried it with an ATV tire that was occasionally getting dirt stuck in the bead. When I finally broke down and pulled the tire off the wheel what a mess. It was like a monster blew his nose inside the wheel. As others have said, the quickest fix would be add a second plug. A better fix would be to put a patch (or even better a patch plug) on the inside. A tube would also work. Just spend a few extra bucks on a good quality tube. I now use exclusively Firestone brand as some of the others I've tried failed.

Put another plug in beside the old plug. If it works, great, if not then look at patching from the inside.
Always try the most simple fix first.

PS. Be sure to ream out the leaking hole very well first and use plenty of glue. Let is set for several minutes to an hour, trim the plug flush and then check for a leak.

Tireject if you don't run fluid. Pricey but, it will stop most leaks permanently.
