Good morning!!!!

I have a Craftsman garden tractor that does a similar thing when hot... I attempted cleaning the carb, replaced the fuel pump and filter, made sure the tank breather was working. Even adjusted the valves. All to no avail. The symptoms got a little better, but not fixed. My next step is to get a cheapie carb off eBay.... about 30 bucks... factory replacement about $90.

Try some Berryman Chemtool B-12. Engine is probably running lean and hot from a partially blocked carburetor fuel jet. Sold at Walmart.

I tried Seafoam, di not really do anything. I will pick up some B-12 and see if that does anything. Do you take off the carb and soak it? Or just spray / pour into the air intake?

Have you checked for a healthy spark when it won't run? Sometimes an old coil will be fine until it gets hot, then the wire on either primary or secondary side will open up due to the heat.

Last year I found an idle jet that I could see through, but the jet turned out to be blocked by some solid clear substance. A fine copper wire was needed to remove the deposit. The bike had mostly been run with Chevron gas, which has Techron, but had been sitting for six months with fuel in the carb. I've since started draining the float bowls before starting any extended idle period.

Pour it in fuel tank. When engine starts running correctly. Drain and put fresh fuel in it. My neighbor had a engine that would not even run unless fuel was sprayed into intake. Poured B-12 in tank. Tried to start. No go. Let it set for 1/2 hour. One pull and it was running like new. I keep a can in shop all the time. Much stronger that Sea Foam.

My engine is a Kawasaki V twin with 2 coils. I was told it will run on 1 cylinder if one of the coils dies. When it starts dying, I can pull out the manual choke, and it will keep running a bit longer while it depletes the fuel in the bowl.

I'm going to go pull the carb off....

68°F and .11 inches rain.

Continue on with yesterday’s effort. Some years ago I threw together a work bench from on hand scraps of 2x4 and plywood. Scraps in the since they were saved from a previous life and reused. Yesterday I cleaned it up and added a coat of paint, paint so old I still can’t remember it’s initial use but enough left for this. Looked good wet.

Told wife I’d do my version of shrimp scampi with egg noodles today.

Keep hoping to open GM and be treated with a nice long missive from Drew. Prayers for you.

Forgot to tell RNG nice video on BH removal. Wish I moved that fast.

I sure appreciate all the bird and wildlife pics you guys post.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I've tried to use some landscape cloth before, but it did not have a "sheen" to it like the photo. My experience was not so great. Weeds still tried to grow under it and over it in any little soil they could find. I am going to watch and read how well it works for you guys. I'm wondering how the Black would tend to build up excess heat down here on 100+ days?

.

I had same problem with weeds growing under the new, thinner fabrics. Last year I switched from Costco landscape fabric to this pvc fabric

Agfabric Landscape Fabric Weed Barrier Ground Cover Garden Mats for Weeds Block in Raised Garden Bed, 3 Ft X 300 Ft Amazon.com : Agfabric Landscape Fabric Weed Barrier Ground Cover Garden Mats for Weeds Block in Raised Garden Bed, 3 Ft X 3 Ft : Garden & Outdoor

This works much better, but wind still blows it.

Not yet, Ted, priority to getting work area reorganized.
Yesterday I did spend some quality time getting tractor washed, 1st time this year and power washing my concrete behind tractorshed.

Fitting the Club canopy may be a bit trickier than the Ezgo. Would require some major tweaking of the frame I started, but only tempory fastening at this point so doable once I get it figured out.
