68F but cloudy @ 13:00 ... still pretty wet outside ... gonna need higher temps and some sun to really dry things out.

Unfortunately, they are calling for 50% chance of rain on Sunday and Tuesday, and 90% on Monday ... and so it goes ...

Saw a thing on PBS last night that a number of the Great Lakes set records for highest water levels ever this past year.

Need to get linseed oil put on roof of 4th bluebird house today and mounting flange installed on bottom so I can get the last two houses put up ... probably inbetween the rain drops.

Ron, that looks like an encouraging sign that your color choice on the bluebird houses was deemed acceptable - at least by some of the local population there ...

Will likely get some cleanup done in the garage this afternoon ... among other things.

Take care ... and stay safe.

During the storm last night and the birds above the door my Ring went off several times last night. On reviewing the alerts this morning One of the alerts was caused by flashing lights. A fire truck and ambulance were in front of my house. After a few calls this morning it was another neighbor across the street that felt really bad, she is ok today.

RNG is the camp on your property?
Nice that you can still see the lake over the solar frame.

Rick we had 1.75" of rain last night.

Today I fed my sourdough starter and with the discarded half, I attempted to make whole wheat sourdough bread again without the second rise (working with whole wheat is tricky) I thought it was going to work as it started rising and then it flopped back down. So I put a rolling pin to it and made kumquat/pineapple/raisin rolls. They too started to rise and then settled into a big glob. It looks like it might taste good. ?? (now I'll see if I can add a pic). IMG_3690.JPG

Edit: it's upside down but I think that is my fault not the app's.

Edit 2: the taste was Ok it will be a good snack when brush clearing, its more like a fluffy citrus cookie or for Eric a vegan whole wheat kumquat/pineapple/raisin/walnut scone. Makes me want to brew some tea.

Front yard got mowed.
Another iPhone photo. 99% of my tbn posts are with the iPhone app. It is so much easier to post pics on the phone, if I want to post a pic from my laptop, I copy it to my phone first and then post it.

I have been using my iPhone or iPad to post pictures lately. Found that Chrome and TBN were not resizing pictures for best internet viewing. When I use iPad I have option to optimize the photo. This saves a lot of data.
All my camera photos are loaded to MS OneDrive. I have OneDrive app on all my apple devises. This gives me direct access to photos within minutes.
TBN was no help solving why I was having problems posting photos.

63 degrees going for 75 with a 30% chance of rain today. Of course I was sure glad I mowed yesterday, since I poured about 2.20" of rain out of the gauge this morning. I think that little storm hit here a bit before midnight.

And now 8:45 a.m. and it's raining again. Of course, when I take my hearing aids out and go to sleep, I don't hear anything. But when my wife got up this morning, she said we had thunder, lightning, high winds (thought the trees would be damaged, but apparently not) and even a little bit of hail late last night.

And now at 2 p.m., my gauge has over 2" of rain in it, and it's still coming down. The swamp that I call my "yard" will not be dry for several days at least. So for the last 24 hours, I've had over 4.25" of rain.

Got a call back from the deputy, and he wouldn't come out unless I could tell him that the trespassers were on my property. If they were in the state park, it would be the park police that would deal with it. So I jumped in the side-by-side and went down there for a look see. Took a shovel and two two foot sections of 3/4" rebar, to mark the survey stakes that were put in last winter. Found both sets of stakes, didn't see any sign of the trespassers though. Gonna have the neighbor show me where he saw 'em next time he comes over.

I knew my original plan to have the low side of the panels four feet off the ground was in trouble when I saw the tops of the upper row of columns was above the high water line on the other side of the canyon. So I scaled it back to somewhere around two feet, and preserved most of the view off the patio. The covered part of the patio where I spend the most time is east of the solar array anyway, and isn't impacted. I hope to get the support rails on it this afternoon still, and that'll give a pretty good idea of what it'll end up looking like.
