63 going to 87 and windy.

Eric, smart way you rigged your forks to get height for that frame. I did catch my beard in the adjustable stock of my rifle doing some target practice yesterday, but no problem seeing through the sight.

Got about 25 tomatoes, peppers and tomatillos planted...late this year, but good we waited because of the 3 days of frost/freeze this week. We've been eating lettuce, kale and arugula from the garden for a couple of weeks, and stopped harvesting asparagus now.

Saw the first lightning bug of the year last night.

63 outside this AM, heading to 73. Started mowing late yesterday, stopped half-way through. Today will be finishing it off, that means the trim too. Small window before the rains come back.

Daughter comes out of quarantine this w/e. Tested negative. Seems to be some interesting information floating about on testing. Too bad we cannot have adult conversations about it. My immediate work area is still in "lock-down", and the numbers are still rising. My life area, numbers are up, but we are "rural". Attitudes on moving forward vary with the neighbors. Too bad we are not all on the same page.

Hope all have a great day, and a good start to the weekend. Be safe.

Poured second cup of coffee. 57° with rain and fog this morning. Heading to 69° with more rain thought the day. Rain and thunder all night. 1.52" of rain. Thunder kept me awake good part of the night. Have a couple of projects in shop to work on today. No other plans.
Not sure which one is Lonesome George.

Drew, prayers and best wishes.

Buckeye, glad you made trip without problems.

Wngsprd, maybe a beard trim is needed?

Eric, great project.

Riptides, hard not to be concerned about CV. Total deaths in my county is 900 and 8,000 cases.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning. It 72° here with 99% humidity and light breeze. Our high should be about 87° this afternoon. The weather guessers are still predicting big rains for us tomorrow with some rain starting this afternoon. The "models" are predicting we'll get anywhere from 1-2" to 6-7".

I'm saving further work on my rolling ladder for tomorrow during the rain. Next thing is to make a drilling template to mount my stability struts. Front just needs to match the existing caster mounting holes. On the back end I'll need to drill both pieces as the old casters were "welded" to the plates.

I'll be on the Kubota ZT, as soon as it gets light, to finish the 9 acres around the house. If rain holds off .. I'll mow down around the shop. Then some weed rating and trimming as weather permits.

Hope everyone stays safe and has a great Friday.

Prayers to all.

Good morning, the temp is 45°F and going to a high of 59. Wind WSW 4 mph. 40% chance of periods of drizzle.

I didn't get the grass mowed yesterday. The battery was flat on the mower. I had charged it up last week in order to start it and get the oil warmed up and flat yesterday. Time for a new battery and it should be here by noon.

The premier had put a 'ban' on traveling to cottages/camps during the C19 lockdown and HE went to his cottage on the pretense of checking the plumbing after the winter. After getting caught he said that you could go and check your plumbing, but to pack in your food and supplies.
Yesterday he lifted a lot of the travel restrictions and let marinas open along with a bunch of other things. May 2-4 weekend has been moved up to this weekend.

I go back to work on Tuesday, but they (work) don't know that yet. I told them I would be there after the long weekend.
Whenever I manage to get online, I will post.
IF something unforeseen happens (I wake up dead) my step son will post that here and close my account.

Have a safe and healthy day all

RNG, I'm watching closely. Did you have to curse to get that hoe off? :)

Compared to the old tractor, Kyle, it was a walk in the park. If it hadn't been for those sticky pins, I wouldn't have even gotten dirty! The pins've since been wire brushed, sprayed with Fluid Film, and are resting comfortably in a zip-lock baggie in the M62 parts box...:D

Fluid Film is .. magic stuff. I have both the aerosol and the paste.

Good Morning! 73˚ cloudy heading to the high 80s. 50% humidity, grass is dry, good morning for an early mow.

EGO sent me a e-mail yesterday to wait to buy my next mower till early 2021. They are making a Zero Turn mower. My yard is too small, I think Mom should buy one for her yard. it's the perfect size for a z-turn. Here is a youtube of the e-mail I received. Now if they would use that battery pack for a golf cart . . . .

It only took me ONE time of not dropping the hoe on level ground to convince me that being level is the key to an easy job of putting the hoe back on.

Ron are the people in your county NOT doing social distancing and washing hands or do they just not work in your county?
