Yup, I live in Michigan. Bright sun, 40°, wind and snow all at the same time. At least there was no accumulation of snow.

Good afternoon. It was 75° when I left the Ranch at 6 a.m. it got up to 89° but fell fast after the front passed thru after 2 p.m. and now 76° and very windy at 20 mph with gusts of 30 mph+. Looking like the rain has bypassed us again.

I was running errands and fixing a few things at our Richmond house. There are three recessed ceiling fixtures that bulbs burned out in a week. They're crappy (90 watt equivalent.) CFL floods and I've been replacing them with dimmable (120watt equiv.) LED floods. I ordered the new bulbs, online at Home Depot, for curbside pickup this morning. HD opens at 6 a.m. but curbside doesn't open until 8 a.m. which their web site forgot to mention. Who knew bankers run their curbside pickup.

Finally gave up and went inside store to retrieve my order. You can only enter thru one door and exit thru another. It kinda ruined staying safe with curbside pickup.

I saw joggers, running alone, wearing masks? How do you run and breath in those things. I'll be so happy when only robbers and doctors have to wear masks. Will the government let us know .. when switchover day is??

Stopped at Discount Tire for a free rotation on the F-350 KR then grabbed some adult refreshment at Total WIne. Their curbside worked well except they don't open until 10 a.m.

Finally got back to the ranch in time for and early lunch before afternoon yaupon chopping. After about 2 p.m. it was way too windy so ..gave up and did some shop cleanup.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Prayers to all.

Edit: Today marks the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. Victory in Europe.

Thanks guys. Rough days but better
Drove the JD mower to get the fast weeds out of front lawn and lane. Looks good as it should throwing a ton of maintenance money at it.

Crashed the mower into front ditch when I just was confused, no damage, hit a big root, blade is unlike to remain sharp after chopping top off big tree root, but no apparent damage. No new vibrations, pretty tough shaft drive and pine is soft. Sounds like a lesson in no operating machinery while under the influence...

The treatment so far is helping me but have long way to go. Head doc called me for a status report and his team of four other endocrinologists are suggesting more radiology, CT and MRI to rule out cancer. Have always thought that would be the way I go, everyone else in the family including my wife, taking a terribly long time to die. Yeah, kind of hard getting to a calming therapeutic outlook worrying about that.

I really need a life and distraction outside of disease. Jay knows about this. Many others do too.
So we aren't going to discuss that online.
I'm tired about talking about my heath

RS, love that armored feeder.

Rain is starting, very low temps tonight
North is in for an un pleasant surprise. It's May 8 and a lot of tender stuff is out there.

Show goes on tomorrow at 11am. I escape a half hour earlier, driving ever so slowly down to local beanery, where trooper car after car line up outside, they all go in and sit at their same tables, no one wears a mark. Nice example they set, and the farmers come in as usual, totally ignoring reality. I'm of course going to wear a mask, would be insane not to.
Will sit in my truck for a couple hours until it's over, after desanitizing carefully.

peace gentlemen
Drew

After all my squawking about HD, turns out 2 of the 3 items I ordered were incorrect.

My fault, not theirs ...

And back we go ...

Thanks guys.I was thinking at the start of this project that I would go with a chrome 6" stack, but after some serious measuring, found that the 6"er wouldn't fit between the loader lift arm and where it needed to be. So I cut it back to three inches. That gives me 1" of clearance.

6 inches would have looked like a stove pipe!

Had an A10 flyover at 2:30 today, went around in a big loop covered the population centers in the eastern part of the state. The three of them came in at about 3000 ft right over the airport, which is very close, as in I can see the end of the north/south runway from my backyard. They went east and did some maneuvers for about 20 minutes, then headed northwest and up to Baltimore.

Not a bad weather day, sunny and mild before lunch and clouds with sprinkles in the afternoon, and some wind. Tomorrow is predicted to be 51 and 30-40 mph winds, low tomorrow night near freezing.

Drew, good wishes and prayers for you.

Great pictures everyone.

Rick, LS, RNG, you’re busy boys!

Have a good evening and God bless.

Good evening all. 61F for the start, overcast .7 inch in rain gauge, light breeze. Wind picked up quickly, partial clearing in afternoon, high temp 72F. Energy conservation day today, new boat cover not going to work out, traps water and wind blew the cover loose. Did get a nap in and took wife out to eat at local Mexican restaurant for dinner, she enjoyed getting out. Will catch up tomorrow hopefully.
