How is the virus affecting you?

Just like every April, I worked 120 hours the last 2 weeks.
I'll do the same till mid June. None of my kin are sick.
Maybe I had this beer bug last fall. Lots of materials we use come from China.
I fought a nasty cough for better than a month. Never ran a fever or felt bad. Just couldn't shake that cough.
Anyway, the kung flu ain't slowed me down.
I do look forward to an antibody test though.

My very healthy son was hospitalized in January while home from Christmas break from college. It was called an unspecified virus ? Then I had a deep lung cough for about a month mid January to mid February. Im almost certain we both had it.

Some may have noticed that the 都timulus bill included an extra $600 per week for those on unemployment benefits? This in effect gives some people on unemployment more take home money than they were getting when employed.

Funny you mention that. Just this evening I was out working on my garage addition and talked to my next door neighbor that got laid off from construction in Michigan due to the virus and filed for unemployment. Got his first check today, $900. First thing out of his mouth after that was, "I'm making more on unemployment than I did working."

Go look at the virus maps and see if there were any other infections in his college town around the same time.

I had bad cough last June, ended up being pneumonia twice in a month. Then I got GBS and spent 2 months in the hospital. The treatment is heavy dosages of good immune IV.
In February I got a bad cold, then fever. I seldom get a fever. Went to Dr next day 18th, and fever had already went away. Had to put on a mask for that visit. But no cases in MD for at least 2 more weeks. I don’t think it was CV, but just some other bug.

That should be no known cases, not no cases. They just released results from a couple of post-mortem tests in CA and someone who is not known to have had any association with anybody who had CV and passed away in early January apparently had CV. At least two weeks before the first official case in California.

It has to be a strong disincentive to return to work for many people.

I think no cases is accurate. When it showed up it was rather apparent. If it was here earlier, there would have been people getting. Really sick earlier. Too much media hype for me.

No - there are asymptomatic cases which are NOT apparent. Read more about the stuff in California. I'd dig up a link but some people complained about links in this thread.

^^ See, that's the thing, a lot of people (most, by far) that get it, don't get 'really sick'. It's only those that are already weakened or compromised by other factors. So, it COULD have been circulating for quite a while before ever getting into the nursing homes and other places. No one knows, because no one was looking for it. Indications are that it isn't really worse than most other bugs, but the media hype has blown sensible thought out of the water.
