63 heading to about 80, rain showers this morning, had some last night as well, but the thunderstorms went north and south of us.

I cut a black cherry tree the other day, might put the loader back on and move it to its final resting place. If I can ever get any more bleach I値l finish washing the out buildings.

We are having trouble getting a slot to pick up groceries at Walmart, looks like everyone has discovered our little secret. Tried three locations. Oh well, we won稚 starve.

Good morning to all! Low of 37, going for a high of 72, sunny with light breezes. Sounds good to me!

Today will be a great day to get back to the landscaping project. First will finish the area that I showed previously. A new section has been determined....
About 15-16 years ago, yes really that long... we purchased one of those pond “ kits “ . Not sure of any of the specific details anymore, but the lower pond is about 4x8, the upper waterfall tub is about 2x3. Well it got dug out of the shed and will finally get installed. We are going to create a little “ park area “ in the space between the house and garage. About 30x40 ft. area. Still a lot of details to work out, not going to be a fast project.

Storm came through here last night around midnight and woke me up ... torrential rain, 70+ mph winds, and an unbelievable amount of hail. The lightning/thunder/wind/hail was essentially continuous for an extended period of time (>10 minutes) Power went off for about a second and then came back on. Looked at my phone and there were around 8 - 10 alerts from WeatherBug - including a Tornado Warning - that I had somehow managed to sleep through.

The amount of noise from the hail hitting our front doors - which are steel and under a 2' overhang - was unreal ... it had the big orange cat up and he was sitting in the hallway, looking up the hall trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Not a happy camper.

This is some video from a local weather forecaster of the storm that apparently spawned all this ... while it was still quite a bit (30 miles) north and west of us.

63°F and foggy this morning, going up to 85° today. Voice on the radio suggested we may flirt with the record of 89° set back in 1890.

Wife has been slowly cleaning out the lean-to on the open side of the barn. She listed some stuff on Craigslist, and yesterday sold a few old beat-up cattle gates, a pile of old fence posts, and an old water trough. Someone is coming today to pick up a large pile of bricks. Once I remove the old fence and gates around the side of the barn and get the new pasture fence up, I'll have unfettered access to that open side to put implements under the cover of the lean-to.

I haven't been keeping up on covid cases in Clinton County. A check of the Bing tracker shows 11 cases / 0 fatalities. Wife read last night that neighboring Madison County had their first death yesterday, and neighboring St. Clair County has had two deaths.

Walked the trash down to the road last night, and tried to get a pic of the "pink" moon. Never could get a decent moon picture with an iPhone. I think I waited too late anyway.

A showery, overcast 40ºF for today's low temperature; an overcast 41ºF presently; and with a little luck I may see some some sun later this PM and if that happens a high temperature in the mid50ºF's. Already my expectations for today's weather have been exceeded. Decent hunkering down weather. I am planning for a curbside booze and mail pickup Friday. Other than a weekly booze and mail run I have no plans on leaving the property.

Rich- I am happy to read that you got your internet back.

Ted- I like your cocktail mix. That would definitely turn off the lights almost immediately. I am sure there are a few posters here with some great head case stories? Nice thumb

Mike- I feel your pain. I gave up on beer the instant I could no longer return them for deposit.

Paul- I set up my camera for a moon pic, but as the moon started to rise the clouds moved in.
