I would imagine it is something like my ex, only lighter. Compress the tensioner and slide an/or slip the track around and off. But my metal tracks has master links. Good luck.

I misread this, and thought that your ex must have been a pretty big boy.

My CAT weighs in at 15,500 pounds. All tracks come off the same way by removing pressure on the tensioner. But really it is my Grand daughter's CAT!

Sorry about the setback but it sounds like you got some work out of it first.

It always scares me a little to use chains to pull something hard. IF they break.....you'll wish you were using a strap, or rope.

But glad you got it out safely. Who helps you when you get stuck?

Brandi, glad to see you posting. I haven't seen many posts from you lately. Hope all is OK.

First time was just me but this last time with the ground dry enough to get the tractor in my wife drove the tractor and pulled me out. I have a couple of 2ft x 2ft rubber horse stall matts with a hole through the center. If I've got a hard pull I usually run the chain or strap through those about 10ft from each end in case one breaks.

Kyle,
I've been here.............https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/projects/106272-my-pole-barn-solo-affair.html?highlight=
Latest posts start at #306 on page 31. Before that I was replacing the floors in my kitchen, heater/air cond, and washer/dryer.

I've been busy. Also building permanent pallet installation for my L shaped dyed fuel tank. Guess I need to make a thread for it. I take photos tomorrow. It's 2x4s and 2x6s on 4x4 home cut skids.

I brushed on Copper Naphthenate 8% (68% by Volume) Concentrate. That stuff is potent. The smell came through two pairs of rubber gloves and had me very happy, even while wearing a half face respirator. My stay-at-home-work boots still stink.

The stuff stinks to high heaven and I can't imagine any bugs or even critters coming near it. I'll top it with a 12 volt pump, powered by the Mahindra. No more lifting:( a 5 gallon can to fill any of diesel toys:D, eh...I mean machines.;)
hugs, Brandi

Glad to hear they are off. Are the tracks cost in the 3 digits ($$$) or 4 digits ($$$$)?
hugs, Brandi

About $2,700 delivered for the pair.

$1350 each? WOW-o-WOW. Or should I say....................OUCH!

Yep. Pretty good size tracks at 18" wide so not cheap.

Dang, 18" wide! What is your track psi over the ground? Less than 4?

My footprint makes deeper imprints than my CAT's tracks do.

I found the specs on your toy, eh...machine. Your tracks are 4.2 psi. https://psndealer.com/dealersite/images/newvehicles/2015/nv1010732_2.pdf
I checked my CAT, actually a Mitsubishi MS070, and it is 3.6 psi. Welcome to the load ground pressure club!
hugs, Brandi

I was surprised your cat doesn't weigh more than it does. I would have guessed it heavier. Looks like my tracks are showing to the local hub at 1pm today. Going to see if they can hold at the dock for pickup so I don't have to wait for Monday delivery.
