Good morning!!!!

Glad you found the bad one, Paul. I think it's a conspiracy among batteries to drop below a certain voltage that triggers those low battery warnings only when the time of day is less than 4AM. They do it then because the environment is quiet enough to hear the beeps. Those batteries are smarter than they look! There are several devices here, in addition to the smoke alarms, that will beep when something is wrong. Some are so faint, or I'm so deaf in those frequencies, that it often takes me hours or even days of searching and disconnecting things before I find the culprit. Whoever came up with the beep idea for a warning system should be made to spend the rest of eternity listening to those beeps in the wee hours of the morning!:pullinghair:

Hahaha ... yeah, they can be a bear to find. Not only do I have Tinnitus, but I also have significant hearing loss in my left ear, which screws up stereo imaging and makes it hard to pinpoint the direction of sounds. This one was loud enough that it was easy to determine that it was either the one just inside the bedroom door, or the one outside at that end of the hallway. A red LED was kind enough to blink when it beeped to confirm which one for me.

On a similar note, I had been increasingly disappointed recently at how bad my hearing in that left ear has become. When working in my studio, I am always having to turn my head so my right ear can hear the stereo separation of different tracks when panning bass and guitars left and right or checking drum panning. Monday night while I was in there tweaking some guitar tones, I'd noticed that the left channel seemed really weak. When I stuck my right ear over by that speaker, there was hardly anything coming out of it. I muted everything panned right, and confirmed that it was too soft. All the volume and crossover levels were set the same on both sides of the monitor system, so I started checking cable connections. Everything was fine. I then turned the left side volume knob all the way down and back up again ... and lo and behold, there was volume again. Guess my hearing on that side isn't quite as bad as I thought after all.

Drew, must be some degree of comfort with Dr’s report, even if frustrating that you can’t do anything immediately.

Randy, curious how you know you were in AFIB? I signed up for the Apple watch study and do ECG every morning. Not that I expect anything, but it has been a few years since my last full cardio workup.

Toppop, take it slow and safe.
Ted, hope you get good news.

LFN, nice work on the exhaust. Why did you go with larger diameter pipe for the riser?
The larger diameter stack will reduce some of the bark. Don't forget, there is no muffler in this system. I live in the country, I don't need a muffler. Buddy across the road has an old Massey 135 straight piped.

Thought I was going to get stuck running an order to a new customer up in central Illinois today (another ag eqipment company). I had mixed emotions about it. While it was an opportunity to get out on a nice day for a little field trip, the last run to a customer left me stranded on the side of the interstate for four hours in a dead car. Since I'm still here, I guess they found someone else for this one.
Probably someone with a more reliable vehicle.:D I just couldn't resist. I will shut up now and sit in my corner.

LS, check out your Peterbuilt highway tractors. They come stock with 5 or 6" stacks and a lot of guys put sewer pipes on them. 8" and I have seen 10" last summer.

Good morning to all!

Yesterday was an interesting day..

We had wind, lots of wind, rain, snow, hail, and even felt an earthquake (centered about 80 miles from Boise ID). I was sitting at my desk on the computer when I thought the dog was pushing on my chair.. felt like the chair was being pushed around a bit... no dog in my office, thought my mind was playing tricks, then it happened again.. saw on the news feed about the earthquake.. Wife felt nauseated, thought the dog was pushing on the back of the easy chair she was in...

Stay safe, prayers for all.

I talked to the former Idaho Governor this morning. His ranch is near Star .. they got shaken a bit but no problems.

MD looks good by that chart. Had our first death in the county, 90+ age. Wonder if they came from the nursing home that got hit hard. It didn’t say.

I wonder if I can grab small cedars with my grapple and pull them. That would be wickedcide!!

And that how it spreads, a person has it and still feels ok goes visiting.

If cedars are right next to a nice oak tree .. I cut them down leaving a 2-3' stump that I can remove later with my post / tree puller.

If the cedar is away from the tree I push them with grapple from one side then go to other side with grapple near bottom of the tree, in low and 4WD, raising the grapple, as I push against the tree. Once it breaks loose, I shake most of the dirt, off the roots, back into the hole it came out of.

I’m talking about 3ft tall, barely enough to grab. Just got grapple so haven’t tried a tree yet.
