My wife is in the living room laughing so I went to see why. She's watching FOX 4 news on the TV and they're showing an 18 wheeler loaded with toilet paper that overturned on I-30 just east of downtown Dallas.:laughing: Of course I'm familiar with that slight curve, and it ain't bad at all, so I don't know why it overturned.

I wonder if that would cause a similar stampede like when armored car doors open and money falls out on the highway?

If people think its free, they will stampede. I recall a situation where a semi filled with refrigerated Washington State Apples was hit by a train, strewing apples up and down the track for a couple hundred yards. They publicly announced they were not going to salvage the apples; and since I came by right after the event, I got a couple cases of the best apples I have ever eaten!

A potato truck tipped over into a ditch during harvest a few years ago,and they weren’t going to clean them up. I happened to be going past so was going to grab a few pounds; but by the time I got there people were walking all over the pile, picking up what they wanted with no regard to what they did to the remainder. I guess they got theirs so to heck with everyone else

...the talk of over-turned trailers just reminded me of the few times (full) livestock trailers overturned on/off the interstate in front of my parent's place ..... what a heart-breaking & sickening mess. 
(guessing the drivers either fell asleep at the wheel, or the livestock got rowdy enough to cause problems).
On a happier note I did almost break out into a happy dance when I saw that my normal grocer had my usual eggs back in stock yesterday :cool2:

The "point" being....they are HYPOCRITES !
If it gets down to shooting in the street I'm screwed. Even if I had plenty of weapons and ammo, I would be at a loss against several intruders. I prefer not to keep firearms, so that they can't be stolen and used against somebody.
