1) there is no antiviral drug for coronavirus at this point.
2) the "evidence" for chloroquine is at this point non existent. The French doctor's article is no evidence at all.
3) the combination of chloroquine and azithromycin (an antibacterial) is just a "wildass guess" at an antiviral regimen
4) I'd rather just have a beer as there is just as much valid data that drinking your favorite brew is helpful as there is for chloroquine at this point
That's a hard concept for a lot of people to believe. That all available evidence (nonexistant!!!) gives beer and quinine equal odds of improving your health. It just doesn't seem intuitive after all the publicity. But going back to the fundamental sources that the claim is based on, this is what the scientific evidence available today shows.

High powered UV light does kill most microbes but flashlight battery powered UV probably does little at all. Also, UV bulbs wear out and continue to emit blue light even after the level of UV radiation has dropped to an ineffective level. That's why in a hospital setting, if/when UV light is used as a disinfecting agent, there is a strict maintenance schedule.

5) I'd happily sign up for a clinical trial where I might get either the experimental drug or a placebo as I do think that we should be doing good clinical trials

Well, you drink a beer and I'll start my 5 day dosage cocktail if I get it.

Almost all new air handlers have similar UV light fixtures that run 24/7...they kill all mold etc...I understand about the low power units and portables but if they are emitting UV light it will kill the virus...

To make sure a light is emitting actual UVL it will fluoresce many common items like (real) marble, Vaseline, olive oil, canola oil, rock salt, uranium or Vaseline glass...and others...

An entirely different way to kill the virus is 145* F...hot enough to kill the virus but not burn up your mail...just don't leave the oven unattended...!

At exactly what point did we become a society that instead of listening to a doctor's advise and following it...We started telling the doctors what medications WE thought we should be taking...mostly based on advertising, hearsay etc...?

Or, buy a sous vide water heater. Put the mail in a ziplock bag and weigh it down in a water bath at 150F for a couple of hours. Use the same bag the next day. And, if you lower the temp of the water bath to 130, you can cook a mean steak in a ziplock for a couple of hours that will be as tender as any you've ever had! Just remember to sear it after the water bath.

From the article I linked above..

Dr Zelensky’s regimen: Most have responded-699 patients, 1 serious
He only treats elderly and compromised
He doesn’t treat young people as he says they can get over this in 2 weeks if they are healthy and not immune compromised

The cocktail reduces the amt of virus the body is infected with giving the immune system time to recover and fight the virus
Occ he has had to treat for 8 days

Cost of Rx is US$ 20
worst side effect —theres a concern of arrhythmias from Zithromax and Hydroxychloroquine but none of his colleagues have seen that

1.
Zithromax—500mg day x 5 days

2
Hydroxyclroroquine 200mg bd x 5 days for outpatients

ICU—1st day 400mg bd then 200mg bd x 5 days

3
Zinc 220mg once daily x 5days

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko has now treated 699 coronavirus patients with 100% success using Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate, Zinc and Z-Pak [UPDATES]

I said in either the first or second CV thread that when they shut down sports (which shut down gambling on pro and NCAA sports)...that wife beaters would be coming out of the woodwork...likely no different for husband beaters with so many men at home all day...
On a lighter note a woman posted somewhere that her job assigned her to work from home. Then she learned her kids school was cancelled and their after-school day care closed. "The kids are going to be home with me all day? In my HOUSE?? THAT'S MY HOME!!!!

Good luck, lady.

1) A "open-label non randomized clinical trial" is a fancy way of saying that there was no clinical trial. There are basically zero medications that the FDA has ever approved based on that sort of unscientific trial. Labeling something a clinical trial does not make it one.

2) Another nutjob physician posting his results on YouTube (now removed by YouTube for failing to meet community standards). You really need to be more critical of the medical information you are imbibing. There is NO physician in NYC who has even seen 700 patients with Covid-19 so you know this guy is FOS. If you give chloroquine and zinc to 700 people on the street the odds that all 700 will be alive in a week is exceedingly high. Stop believing and spreading these ridiculous pseudoscience articles.

Notice that nowhere does it say he is treating Covid=19 patients. And, what does he mean by saying that he has a 1% success rate???? That means 99% FAILURE rate.

Come on guys. Stop posting this crap.
