Careful. I could legally buy liquor in any state of the Union in 1959.

Age never stopped us.

All we had to do was either stand around a liquor store and wait for an old lady (old ladies seem to drink a lot) and ask her to buy for us, or, go ask our friend the gorilla. The gorilla was a kid that looked like Sasquatch and had a full beard since he was probably 6 years old.

Oh, I didn't say how long I had been buying it; we used to drive over to Drummond, before we were old enough to get a driver's license, and play pool and buy beer. Of course, most of the kids I grew up were driving tractors and wheat trucks a soon as they could reach the pedals. I was driving at age 13; a little later than some.

Ever see any of the crew?

Yep. One lives about 3 miles from me. Brenda lives 20 miles from me. In my Male ***** days I dated her for a couple years.

Is Brenda still worth seeing in that bikini?

She's still a good looking woman at 67. Blonde, blue eyes, 5'10", 140lb-ish. We tease each other about those days when we visit. :)

You invented dirt!!!! :D

Maybe not, but I had the privilege of putting a plow in a 5 acre plot of ground that had never seen a plow. The plow sunk down to the beams, and the tilled portion stood at least 6" taller than the previously tilled ground. Had to plow in low gear.

Then clearly you are NOT older than dirt. "low gear" is but a blip on the timeline of agriculture.

Yes he is . . . sorry 2Lane.

Are we talking about old dirt or new dirt, ya'know compost, the stuff poop turns into if left in the woods for a while.

I had a hay crew when I was a Junior and Senior in High School. Bought a 1954 Chevy ton and a half truck with a flatbed. Bought a bale loader to hitch to the side of the truck. Me and two other guys. Hired the prettiest girl in my High School to drive the truck. Told her she could wear whatever she wanted. One particular day we hauled and stacked in a barn 1,000 square bales. Brenda sun bathed on a blanket wearing a bikini while we unloaded the truck. Best business decision I've ever made in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The prettiest girl in my school...in a bikini...you'd have thought I had this 20200326_211725.jpg
