Toilet paper

I wonder how many people that hoarded TP also own cats ?...Ever seen the number a long clawed cat can do to a package of TP?

I've always had cats and I can't think of any that had the slightest interest in TP.
When we first got married my wife had a dog that would shred the contents of the bathroom wastebasket all over the room though.

For any of you that live in SW Florida, I delivered 1440 CASES (26 pallets floor to roof) of toilet tissue to Publix warehouse last night, so that ought to last you a couple of hours once it hits the system!
Ga-Pacific is running about 2.5 times the normal, shipping it out as fast as they can make it! Slowest part of the process is the truck drivers, with all the regulations and speed controls we have to put up with!
sandman, thank you for your service! :D

Would that be the Publix warehouse on Clark road?
I was near there today....probably should have stopped by to pick up a few hundred rolls.

A passing thought :D

Our cats are trained and don't do that kind of stuff.

We did have a kitten that liked to unroll it in the bathroom. Flipping it around so it rolls towards the wall resolved that.

My cat has absolutely no interest in unrolling or scratching toilet paper. An empty TP 'tube' is a different matter, though... :)

I reported in the latest Virus Thread that I went into town today to do my weekly shopping. Toilet paper was readily available, although there was only two varieties/manufacturers; both were 'quality' products too. (I didn't buy any as I'm doing fine with what I've got = no need to hoard)

This shelf-clearing at the market looks to be a city/suburb phenomenon. My town is a good 2 hour drive from a 'big-smoke'. I have heard of city/suburban people driving out to country towns to do their shopping and deplete those shelves.

Is anyone collecting the TP tubes to stop disease spread by mice??

I guess you need TP tubes, cotton balls, and permethrin,,,

X4 Work at a college and the women's dorms are always more filthy than the men's. Doesn't make sense, but it's true.

I worked for my father during HS in his service stations. Of course, one of my jobs was the bathroom cleanups. Yes, the women's was always the worst in both Oklahoma and California.

So its come down to this-my wife is Brazilian and she has been in Brazil since December. She is coming home on the 28th and I told her that we only have two rolls left and they are mine. Said if she wanted to use toilet paper to bring it back from Brazil with her.

Was I wrong?

I keep TP tubes, cut them to 1/2 width, and put them over little squash. Keeps the squash vine borer moth from landing near their base to lay eggs. Seems to work, even when the squash grown bigger and the TP spool seems to fall over a bit. The moth just does not like going near them.

Tell her to hit the stalls at the airport(s),, and bring home the rolls,,
women ALWAYS have a purse that is big enough to carry a dozen concealed rolls of TP,,,

Yesterday, the TP and paper towel shelves in our WalMart were completely bareand have been since Friday. I had an errand this morning and walked to the rear of the store just to check and evidently they'd gotten a resupply overnight since the shelves were about half full.
Just for giggles, I'll check it out tomorrow, surely the TP hoarders have all they need by now.

Ammunition was pretty scarce also, very few 22 rimfire rounds, 9mm and 38 Specials. What really surprised me back there were all the empty spots where shotshells are kept.

Guess I lead a dull life if I'm resorting to keeping track of toilet paper in storres.

Years ago I was a young Jarhead and had the opportunity to visit the Philippines. TP was unheard of there (available on-base, of course.) The bathrooms had a water tap and soap next to the toilet. That was a bit of a culture shock, but if you think about it, it's cleaner than using TP. Later on I was in Japan and liked the bidet-style toilet seats well enough that I bought them for my house. But no thanks on splashing water up from the bowl!! Yikes.

Every few years I travel to the Philippines and survive without TP for 30 days. I think I'll make it without if that's what it comes to. Most households I've been to do not have any paper products to speak of. Even high end hotels have less than desirable TP.

Wow. Never had that problem when we were there in 1977. In Venezuela, most hotels around the country had no hot water. Bet some even have no water now.

I heard there is a new rash of Internet Ransomware scams flooding the interweb...the big difference is now instead of demanding payments in bitcoin...they are demanding rolls of TP...!

Irrefutable proof there is a RIGHT way.

You got me. I always prefer it rolled out rather than in. But then we don't have a house cat.
