We finally finished the house so the light turned green to get a tractor, after lots of questions and advice from y'all I went with the RK55.

I only have 5 hours on it but so far I love it, still getting used to it (this is my first tractor) so have a lot to learn. I even managed to get it stuck in the mud but my neighbor saved the day by pulling me out. I won't be cleaning out that spot till it dries out more.

I was on the fence between the 37 and 55, and very glad I got the 55. I have the FEL and box blade for now but soon the bush hog will come and other implements will follow.

Here's a few pictures...even the muddy one so hopefully it brings a good laugh. This newbie has a lot to learn and looking forward to it.

Congrats, nice looking tractor. I see the bucket is clean when you are stuck. I have used the FEL and bucket to get myself unstuck. Curl the bucket under, stick it down, and go in reverse as you curl the bucket up. May have to do it several times as you creep back. Sometimes it is enough to get you out.

Congrats like the setup.
Getting stuck just part of owning tractor.....and pressure washer.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't try that. The bucket is dirty now haha.

Good thing you did not need to be pulled out from the front.
Apparently it is possible to actually separate/split a stuck tractor by pulling hard from the front.

Welcome to the family! That's a great first tractor - you're very lucky. When I looked at the mud-boggin' picture, I thought you had ordered it with turf tires (thinking "no wonder he got stuck..."). But looking at the clean tires picture, I see they were so gummed up that the treads totally filled with mud and made them look like racing slicks. My first tractor experience was with a late-50's/early-60's 2WD Ford 2000 with a loader, so got a lot of experience unsticking myself with loader-pushin' - a good skill to develop.

Congrats on the new tractor. Keep us updated as you put some time into it. I’ve enjoyed our so far. I only have 70 hours on it, but our growing season is right around the corner.

You made a good choice.

You have to pull pretty hard to break one, but it can and does happen, even on big tractors, let alone smaller much weaker built models.

When I'm pulling on the front of a tractor with a bigger tractor, and I don't see it coming right away, I stop pulling, and look for a better way to pull, or better way to get it out.

Seriously? Wow, never heard/knew that. Something to keep in mind.

If you have a loader on a tractor, you are never really stuck.

Nice tractor...I wish they were available here (Northeast) but the furthest north is western Pennsylvania.
I'd asked RK about a tractor (same as your, BTW) and they responded that since they couldn't service this far north, they'd rather not sell one this far north (central Vermont).

There was a RK guy on the RK forum that did post RK was moving to the NE...that post was a while back and my understanding is the guy who posted is no longer with RK.
