found out something interesting today, local docs are totally unprepared for Covid, their plan is to have you stay home and be visited by the health dept. Really? No test kits at the present. Worrisome....

That keeps the numbers of confirmed cases at a minimum.
No testing, no failures.

Drew, hope your procedure can get you some answers.

J- I believe many here have ideas about what they are going to implement, when the virus gets near. I know I do. Just not sure when to implement, or for how long. I would give it a wide berth if I were you. As many should here. There are more than a few that just scoff at it in the other thread.

Randy, work your fingers to the bone, whaddayaget?

I decided to clean the north side of my metal barn today. I did not want to use a bleach solution, for fear of accelerating rust. So I just mixed some simple green with some water and sprayed it on. It helped, but not nearly as efficient as the Jomax/Bleach solution. My arms got tired from all the pressure washing up high on the ladder.

I want to paint the fascia and my front porch tomorrow. Not sure if I'll get it all done.

Also need to till the garden to kill the sprouting weeds, plant the small baby squash seedlings and a few other seedlings. I hope winter doesn't freeze us again.

Ron, nice photos.

Been having a weekly study session with our associate Pastor and his wife. Studying C. S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. It's been good.

Have you ever tried Wet & Forget Kyle? No rinsing, no bleach. It doesn't work fast but, does keep surfaces clean for a long time.

I use it with my pressure washer foam gun.

Even with all the media and public announcements, there are still people with active flu symptoms going here and there, thinking just the flu, and infecting
a bunch of folks along the way. Same as if they had the regular flu I'm sure.
Have read a few tales of infected folks who simply seem oblivious and see nothing the matter with going everywhere for first three days with full symptoms and only
finally when they feel something in their lungs they go to doctors. Meanwhile they have infected numerous surfaces over the last three days, particularly if they are not wearing a mask. You see the pics in China where literally everyone is wearing a mask.

Yet they say the mask is only if you are sick, so your airborne drops don't go anywhere. But what if the person next to you in line at Walmart sneezed in your direction?
Wouldn't you rather have a mask on?
I have a nice soft black one with replaceable filters I might wear in Walmart today, standing in line...

RNG, nice recap. And isn't funding to be decreased to the CDC? I hope this is a good lesson about our vulnerability to disease, even if it's nothing more than hyped up this year's virus, or like hurricanes, a particularly bad one. And you know more will come...

We need better public health standards, not less. How about all those pens you sign with attached by a chain to the counter. Anyone wiping them down?
So many touchpoints in daily life, if this gets even worse, I might wear latex gloves going in to supermarket, drug store or? Box of 100 will last a long time.
Was surprised there were any left at Amazon, got mine two days ago. I already put a latex glove on for the gas pump nozzle.

Cruise ships have been dealing with this for years, and not so effectively either, fighting noravirus breakouts.
Now some are simply giving up and shutting down, big economic loss to not only cruise ship but cruise ship suppliers.
When they tally up the hit on GNP from this sometime later this year, like RNG said, going to be a big number.

Meanwhile life goes on, and what is so cool currently, like a bunch of new babies born, we have new tractors in the midst!
And you can say the more seat time you have the healthier you will be.

Spray it on but, DO NOT rinse it off. The W&F has a residual effect. In a pump up sprayer mix it 1 part W&F to 5 parts water.

I use my PW Foam gun to treat 2nd story from the ground.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 5:00AM. Mostly sunny. High 73F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
That's a Sacramento forecast; Weather Underground seems to have forgotten all about the hinterlands this morning.

That sounds like a neat project, Eric. There's a neat website called Instructibles where people post all manner of DIY projects, but I just checked and there don't seem to be any dealing with cartridge case annealing using induction. Sounds like an opportunity for someone like you to become world famous!

Sounds like you're keeping the new job in perspective, Randy. But the bigger job may be in realigning your new bosses perspective!

What goes down must come up too, Drew. But it might take quite a while to recover from this one. So far it looks like the panicked sellers have wiped out gains back to September of 2017; sure could use some good news right about now, but I don't think there's anything comin' anytime soon. If they keep it up, we're gonna start hearing stories of people jumping out of windows from Wall Street skyscrapers.

The gravel delivery was a tad early, and he got both runs in before noon. I'll try to get a video posted to keep the gravel spreaders out there satisfied.

The iPad Mini and its case arrived yesterday, as did an inexpensive laminating machine, and so far, everything's checking out just fine.

Spent the rest of the day filling in trenches, but I think I got a little too frisky with the propane line; it's leaking now. But with a week of rain starting tomorrow, I think I'd better get the rest of the trench closed up today and worry about that later. Plenty on my plate to worry about as it is.

Been a heck of a week, folks. TGIF (and no, that doesn't mean Toes Go In First).:drink:

How big are the rounds, Wng? Green oak is HEAVY, but you probably know all about that now! Sure burns nice when it's dry, making all that work well worth it...
Didn't measure them. We rolled them onto the splitter, which I swung into verical mode...Probably 30 inches.
