Article in the Toledo Blade today that said they aren't sure about the 14 day incubation period now. Said some man in China was injected with the virus (that sounds crazy in itself) and shows no symptoms for 28 days. Who in the right mind wants to get injected with the virus but, it is China after all.

Yes, that would really change the game.

Sort of like the Emerald Ash borer got in. Came in pallet wood from China....

I read that differently. I read he was injected with the virus which, I thought was strange. The common thread here is 27 days, not 14.

I'm reasonably sure that at some point in the not to distant future the Wuhan Flu will come to a town near me and you. It's amazing how utterly un prepared we are about stuff like this and when it comes, everyone runs around like a bunch of headless chickens. Just gives me more impetus to be a hermit.:laughing:

No, more for digestive reasons. 5030 and I make homemade sauerkraut is all. I eat it every day, tonight I put it on my hambuger. Back to coronavirus.

A friend my wife worked with for years married a woman who was a travel agent in China. She wanted to live in the west, he's been fascinated by Asian women as long as we've known him. Some 15 years married now, they're a happy couple. But she still spends some time going to China to take turns caring for her widowed father when he needs it.

We saw him at a luncheon last week and he said his wife expected to be stuck in China for minimum two months. She's in a city far remote from Wuhan but the whole country is bordering on quarantining everybody.

Then yesterday we learned she is back home in California. I expect her connections as a former travel agent found some airline that is still flying. She said she will self-quarantine for a month here to be sure she isn't a danger to anyone.

Convid-19 from what I have been reading this morning is with us world wide. There is some talk of China stopping the quarantine for the masses because the ones sick with it are just a drop in the bucket to number of spreaders world wide already. There is some thought that in the USA the April-May time frame may be when we start seeing large numbers of Convid-19 (I did read this is the official Medical name for this virus) show up for treatment.

Convid-19 is not to be feared because fear never healed any sickness but Convid-19 should be respected. It is a virus so trying to prevent any virus makes sense to me especially Convid-19.

Fine with me (gold). I have a few nice bars stashed away as in pounds. Price per troy ounce has been pretty stagnant. If it climbed appreciably, I'd sell some off.
