Use tractor and starting to notice when going up a very slight upgrade or pushing snow tractor tires crawl to a stop in 2and3rd gear. I dont notice the engine working harder. This tractor was like a tank before. Would push alot of snow and not stop. Is the clutch going bad or slipping. Any way to adjust or test

Could be rim slipping in tire. Have you checked the air pressure? This is fairly common.

Do you have any free play in the clutch pedal ?

Didnt check tire pressure in tires yet, have about a quarter inch of free play on the clutch petal before it starts turning the shaft to the clutch

It would seem to me that your clutch is toast!

Should be about 3/4 to 1'' when you push the pedal down before it makes contact (gets harder to push) Any oil leaks around clutch housing ?

A split is not quite as bad as you might think, but if you do it, be careful where you buy the Chinese parts.
Using Chinese parts....I did it TWICE!

No leaks anywhere l adjusted to about 1 inch, seems better than what it was before. Is that normal to have adjust that from time to time

Yes but you can only adjust it so much as the clutch lining wears down you adjust it don't ride the clutch or it will wear out fast . Think of it like brakes on a car when the lining is gone you will have to replace the clutch
