Great morning! There WAS coffee! Woo Hoo!

It was 45° this morning and already up to 48°. It’s been raining off & on this morning but happy to have it. Our pastures need moisture.

With the ongoing rain today ... it will be a work in the shop day. I’ll hope to get the new 5” casters installed on the new mobile base for my 20 ton press. Then I need to drill holes in the angle iron base of the press to tie it down to the mobile base. I’m going to lift the press, onto the base, with my HF crane.

2 ton Capacity Foldable Shop Crane

David ... you’re making great progress on your carport.

WNG ... I usually keep some Dunkin’ Donut beans in a air tight container in the pantry but .... this time, it was empty? I’m not “addicted” to coffee but ... it’s nice way to pass the time in the morning waiting for daylight.

RNG ... glad you got your mixer running. I bought an HF mixer and modified it with bigger tires for portability.

All you folks ... with snow remind me why I live in South Texas. . Don’t over do it with hand scooping!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Prayers to all.

Good morning! 41˚F cloudy, light mist. FireWise canceled this morning, there will be better days.

Eric are those Egyptian Geese? Which direction are they flying?

David, I too am concerned about the water runoff on both sides. Are you having an overhang or will the roof metal curl down at the wall? If you have a overhang how many inches and will you have gutters and where will they drain?

RNG, if the cut were made properly why the need for a bandsaw?

Wow, I'm just full of questions this morning.

I do have a plan. Will try getting a decent sketch.

Gas or electric, Rick?

How many hours do you think you have on it?

My mixer was in pretty bad shape when I got it. The bronze bearing for the main driving shaft was egged out, which let the two gear sets slip, so I turned a new one to replace it. Then I reinforced the base with more braces, and added tabs for three point hitch pins and a top link. I had an axle laying around that had larger pneumatic tires, so I cut the old one off and welded that one on. Then I got rid of the ring on the tow bar and bolted on a 2" ball hitch from HF. And ditched the original B&S engine, which I could never get to start, for the HF Predator, which after what it's been through, has turned out to be fairly durable. But after all that, it's still only a 1 CF or so mixer, and I'd really like to get up to 1/3 cu. yard. Still not sure how much trouble it's gonna be doing the fence posts for the solar array, and I'll probably end up replacing it with a larger unit when one comes up on CL or FB.

It’s 120 volt AC and 3.5 cubic ft. capacity.

I’ve probably run 20-30 Quikrete 80# bags thru it but ... have never had any huge projects like David.

Morning everyone. It was looking pretty gloomy this morning but I wanted to take advantage of the fourth dry day in a row to get the lawn mowed. The sun came out and I’m not certain of the temp but it’s pretty nice atm.

Half done so I came in for coffee.

30 days straight with rain in the PNW and I’m really thinking about a winter place in Hawaii. Sodamo, will have his carport done but I could “help” with other things.

I would only have to buy a one way ticket as I’m certain David would INSIST on purchasing my return fare.
