Friend in AR has a barn / garage built like that. He gets some water leaks. I’m thinking a roof that can hold solar panels.

36° now, from a low of 20° Around daybreak. Heading to 50° later they say, if so it will be welcome warm up. Heavy rain tomorrow night and Saturday morning.
Got bloodwork this morning, gotta get the garbage hauled later, not sure what’s in between. Might dig a new topsoil pit, old one is getting too deep, but even 4 feet down it’s just black silt from the creek. That’s where I found the pottery shards and stone multi tool, as well as many animal bones, some with butcher marks.

ALL: the SEATTLE DRIZZLE is again happening here, but it's a great day cause i've been married to my dream girl for now 32 years. she came with a 10 & 12 year old and then we had a little girl (31 now) and twins (boy/girl and 29) so it's been a ride.

speaking of rides i may not own a tractor at the moment, but I did ride on my gramps lap on a D9 just like this almost 60 years during the summer when i'd go up in the mountains and he's make new logging roads to his job site.

high of about 50 here today, going to try to spray orchard around 2pm, heat of day, tomorrow is warmer but then rain comes, want spray on trees at least 24 hours before precip.

spent five hours in kidney doc office yesterday, endless..., and they thankfully think I have "fixed myself". Still waiting for their lab results though.
A bit low on energy today, but I think getting some exercise will help.

17° going to min 40s. Been sunny last few days, clear cold nights. 90% chance of Rain coming in Sat.

I drag with a upside down pallet with some concrete blocks for weight. Pull with a chain. Maybe won’t work for grass and gopher mounds.

I’ve found Dons old house ( his new place will be hard to find until he makes another compass)
Found RNG, Drew, Obed, BreakHeartOrchard, Dave in Maine? that quit tbn, the house in the woods build just south of BHO, probably a few more but I forget. I like looking at maps.

A mostly sunny 15ºF for today’s low temperature; increasing sunshine and 31ºF presently; and I anticipate a mostly sunny afternoon with high temperature in the low to mid40ºF’s. My only real plans for today is prepping and cooking our meals. Tonight’s dinner = Chinese spicy pork and wokked(sp?) vegetables with rice. Since her broken arm/wrist I’ve been modifying Wifey’s meals to accommodate her non-dominant single armed eating.

It looks more and more likely that I’ll be seeing mostly cold rain this weekend with possible periods of mixed precipitation and/or snow. This should really create an ice/snowpack with the existing snow cover here. If I see more than an inch of snow/sleet I’ll be surprised.

Ted- Good luck with the landscape planning. It is nice to read that Dona has become an enabler You may need to buy another tractor.

Bird- I am happy to read that you got your car’s electronics straightened out.

Bill- Thanks for sharing pictures of your lightning damaged tree and some serious chainsaw work. When I was a kid I saw an evergreen tree tree literally explode/split with a lightning strike.

Bruce- Your & Wifey’s shrimp dish looks to be great eats.

David- Thanks for that link. Maybe some time in this lifetime I’ll be able to swing something like that with SWMBO.

Drives- Congratulations on your 32nd anniversary. I wish you and your Wife many more in health and happiness. Thanks for sharing that old D9 picture.

Ron, neat deer pics. At least they left when you talked to them. When I was visiting the daughter up in Colorado, the deer up there are stubborn. They stand 5 feet in front of you defiantly staring back.... when I yelled at them, gave me ‘ the look ‘ back.... figured I should not push my luck....:shocked:

Jay, dinner sounds great... we can be there by 8....:licking:. How is Peg doing with the arm? Still having pain or is it just a nuisance now?

David, I know the anticipation of the carport arriving is building.... do I see signs of a construction addiction? :drink:
