I have to agree with rlgustofsen. I too own a EA wicked grapple and it’s definitely worth the money. IMG_5805.JPG

Kinda hard to see it but this is a picture of it from this last spring doing some burning IMG_5804.JPG

Has anybody tried removing/installing the backhoe by using a jack/chainfall/hoist instead of the outriggers? I'm looking at parking it in an area that will be too narrow for deployment.

Haven’t tried it yet, but hopeful I can do so with my dolly.

I used my motorcycle jack from hf. Tricky to get it balanced just right with the ladder bars but worked.

If you need to park backhoe without outriggers you need some good heavy jack stands and if can put the bucket out away as far as possible sitting on a board or hard surface to make it sit solid as a tripod! Especially in case anyone leans on it or little ones try to climb or sit on it

Kind wondered about something like that. Whatever I use has to hold position for however long it may be in storage. Might use blocks or jack stands for that I guess.

Dont put it on anything with hydraulics especially if they have easy releases had one of my nephew's do that and someone grabbed ir by mistake and dropped a dozer blade they were taking off to be repaired the blade went down and came off jacks then they could not get back under it and i had to use company crane to get it back off the ground it could have been a lot worse! If using blocks use way more than necessary!

One concern I have, but not looked at yet is tipping stability. The area I hope to use I won’t have sufficient width to drop the stabilizers, but I was thinking perhaps i could fashion something of a leg, maybe using a trailer jack on each stabilizer. I would likely use a wheeled type so I can roll BH to better area for mounting.

If you plan to move it off the tractor i suggest building a rolling cart that can hold it and keep it stabilized those rolling jack stands are pretty wobbly by themselves much less multiples and it would need at least 3 point of contact to stand anywhere but a two wheel trailer just big enough to hold it the bucket could still sit on the ground if balanced right then could just step on the trailer to bring front down to pull it around
