70°f and 1.4 inches rain, a wet night.

Honda 7000 running like a champ. It will make my coffee this morning. Then back out to the tractorshed. I’ll get some clean up and reorganize a bit before the crew arrives.

Very pleased how well put together these units are. Choosing the factory prewired was a good decision.

Glad to hear the positive report, David. This new company is also specifying Radians, and I've been very happy with the Honda 6500is generator as well. Thanks for blazing the trail!

40 going to 54.

Sodamo, sounds like BEF is ready for a trip to the Big Island to make an electrical diagram for you.

Don, Meyer lemon, yum...so many cedars.

Pulled 170 times and the log splitter wouldn't start...I must be getting old...seems like last year or the year before I pulled 220 or more to get it started, and this year I just ran out of gas (my own, not the splitter). I'll get back to it as soon as I get back from an appointment. Plus it seems to start in warmer air better.

And he would be very welcome 🤙

Good morning! A warm 63˚F heading to 75˚F, cloudy, SE wind, 10% chance of rain. Rain expected tomorrow, so a good morning to fuel up the tractor and move some gravel.
Rick, only age will soften those chickens - a few hundred years.
David are those lead acid batteries? How long would they last in a golf cart?

Nope, lithium.
Would be an interesting application. 3.8 kw each, but I don’t know what a GC requires.

We all hope YOUR trail will NOT be blazing.

The Radians have been around a few years now, kinks worked out according to my installer. They would be a good fit for your hybrid system.

Sounds like a challenge some existing Wiring Diagrams - OutBack Power Inc

Yes, in parallel. each CC has own battery connection via breaker, pV connection via breaker and GFCI breaker. CCc are common tied to shunt. Radians also share a shunt.

The diesel generator will connect to the ACIn of the two black units behind the pole on right. They are FX3048T inverter/chargers. I will operate in Charger mode only. The FXs will get their POS 48vdc from the combiner box below via 2 breakers. Their NEG connection will be via shunt on the 8048. Control will be via the Mate3s to their left, which will set the parameters for the FX to trigger a 12 vdc relay via its AUX connection.

The Radian generator will feed to one of the meters then to Radian ACin. It will be controlled by own Mate3s, not shown, in same manner but to own relay.

Distribution panel gets 240vac feed from Radians AC Out. Not clear on this yet as a bit different from my old system as to breakers and bypass.

Well, the original system was permitted.

It’s hard to follow which breakers are included in radians, etc or if you have to add external ones. Like for the shunts, etc.

On one of the radian dawgs in the link you provided, looks like the input and output of FM80 uses breakers in the radian.

Post some pics before you put covers back on.

Speaking of blazing, this story came out yesterday, with photos showing even more heavily damaged power tower rings and hanger hooks than the photos I showed previously here. One ring is worn through entirely, and another hook is just barely intact. Hard to imagine how this could have been missed in even the most cursory inspection, unless it wasn't inspected at all. And inspected it should have been, as the towers this happened on are over a hundred years old!

In other Camp Fire news, one Paradise man is now claiming he lost a giant 500 pound emerald worth $280 million in the fire. It will be interesting indeed to see how far that claim gets, as the same couple registered other claims multiple times.

I believe the FM80 breakers are in the Load center. That is part of today, adding the 2nd CC and appropriate breakers to the 4048 system.

System will only use 3 shunts.
A - all the Radian inverters
B - all the FM80 CC
C - my FX external chargers.

I’ll get an as is pic after coffee, then update after all together.
