What am I missing? Either the Lion's Club Insurance or comp on your vehicle - not collision!
just imagine someone on a Bicycle or Motorcycle, they may get killed by that!.. the Golf Course has a responsibility to prevent balls from causing injuries as I have posted the link to a Lawyers opinion on this..Wow a lot of responses in 24 hours first of all thanks to all. I tried one last time to contact the lawyer but he was just leaving for court the secretary said she would have him call. I believe her as I remember her and she me from high school too many years ago. But guess what no call so I left a message with my insurance company and will go whatever route they recommend but I hope the coarse has to pay eventually because of the design. That ball could have come through the drivers window as that was the side it hit on if I were going a bit slower.
look at the last post here, by a Lawyer.. Is the golf course responsible if a golf ball damages a car driving on a public road? | Lawyers.com
I'm guessing the golf course itself is not at fault, the person that hit the ball is the at-fault party. Give that person's name to your insurance company and they can go after that person after they pay to have your truck repaired.
Unless the guy hooked or sliced it, then it's not the golf course's fault.
