His left foot was inside the line, you must run in the box or outside the line. If one foot is out, you are out. Just like football, if your toe is out of bounds, you are out of bounds. Bad throw becomes irrelevant if you’re out of the base path. Its a technicality, but it’s the rule.
Every RH batter tonight has ran the same way. No runner runs totally in the box, especially RH.
Might be the technical rule, but only enforcing it due to the first baseman reaching in front of him, in a World Series game, is poor umpiring.
I was an umpire once.
And it’s not like football out of bounds. You can step in or on the line without being out.
