JD 4066R Back Up Assist and safety horn

This has probably been covered in the past, but I found the horn and disconnected it by pulling the plug. When I do that, however, I lose the Back Up Assist option on my tractor. Anybody else have the similar issue or a fix?

What is "back up assist"?


Maybe connect an light or other load in place of the horn?

I have "back up assist" on the Taco Wagon. It's a video picture provided by the back up camera. I get the back up video on the dash display screen. It automatically activates every time the pickup is put in reverse. OR I can manually override by activating the "bed video camera".

Ain't technology wonderful...............

Think a diode or a lamp is solution to eliminate horn.... Obviously what ever turns on/off assist is looking for some sort of current/voltage loop for control....
