I got a stick jammed up pretty good underneath when backing up hauling brush today. It missed the filter it was near but jammed into a clevis connection. Danged if I could get ahold of it and pull it out, it was really Kando-ed in there. So I dissected it with whatever tool I had handy.

The underside of these newer tractors is so vulnerable, in my opinion. I bought a new Massey Furgeson in 2016. I immediately bought a sheet of 1/4" aluminum and made a custom skid plate for it. I sleep better knowing my firewood gathering trips are less likely to cause a problem. Details on my website.

But at least he had shown you that with perseverance it would come out. :thumbsup:

I brought out one twitch of poplar today, but it was too darned hot to keep at it. At the rate I'm going there will be a new crop of trees before I get this load finished.

I punched a hole in the tank two weeks ago. I followed the diesel trail and found a short log jammed into the dirt. Front tire must have lifted it up and it wedged itself onto the left tank. The useless skid plate isn't even a 1/16" thick

One of the first things I did was add a skid plate, dont go in the woods without it. Made mine with 2x2" tubing, a little 1/4"x 1-1/2" flat bar and the res is 3/16" plate, I can jack my tractor up on it.
