 Oh your right I did loose track what was I thinking, dont answer that. I do think you have the best set up with those forks though, I'd rather have them then a bucket grapple, maybe someday when I to get in the lucrative hay business....................
Well, you just keep cutting those tree's down, eventually you will get to the LAST one, and when you do, you will be able to clear out the stumps and plant hay!!

By golly, THEN the money will start rolling in!!

He lives in Maine. By the time he gets to the back side of his woodlot it will be time to start cutting the front again.

Boy dont you know it, sometimes I cant believe how fast these trees grow. 45 years ago I cut firewood around a nice small straight 4" pine , I almost whacked it then, now that same tree is way over 2' on the stump. I am now going threw where I cut then.

Put a few hours on the ol L260 today, still trying to flatten out the area for my shop, put a tractor sprinkler on it then put the brush hog on the tractor and mowed for a couple hours (takes a while when it's thick, 2mph). Then switched to the 5 tooth ripper thing and tore into some dirt to loosen it up, then switched to the box scraper to stack the dirt up. I've got a stump in my way that would have been nice to have more stump height (hind sight...), my little tractor has a hard time digging under roots and the ripper thing isn't beefy enough to rip them (bent the same tooth pretty bad twice and went through 3 shear bolts a few attempts ago).

I'm out of tractor time for the weekend and will be out of town a good portion of the week, I think I can get the stump out next weekend, the 7200lb F350 with 4x4 can pull a little harder than my 4000lb tractor...

All the "little fields" are now baled, so it's time to pick up some bales. This is another thing pallet forks with grapple can do, that a dedicated grapple can't,

and with the trailer loaded I used the little Deutz to pull the loads out, and deliver some bales,

All of my hay is now sold...

Not here. The Big Boys, who actually farm, and not just "play at farming", around here are all running grapples. They have no problems grabbing large round bales with FEL and grapple. But they're running real Ag tractors, not "tinker toy" tractors like the ones in 'ol Rob's pictures.

I'm not a farmer, but both of my grapples will move 5x6 round bales:

I have been trail mowing my tractor roads that don't have canopy enough to stop the growth of ferns and grass. I use my Sportsman 500 ATV and 42" Fuerst self powered BushHog. Here is a fore and aft shot.
