I wonder what the weight rating is?

I'm guessing that's holding the trunk shut & not holding the hitch up. Easy to guess it's not latching properly after whatever incident trashed that bumper. Hard to tell though.

I would guess that the trunk latch is bad and that is to hold it shut.

As stated several times before me, he is trying to keep the trunk lid from opening. You can see that it's still up a bit.

That doesn't make as good of a story though.
