Good morning!!!!

Good morning. We had been planning on a day out but my wife now thinks it will be too hot to walk outside. With no car journey I will have to find a good excuse to climb into the only other place that has A/C - the tractor cab.

Thanks for the link Rick. The pin not taking grease is relatively new, so I'm not sure what the cause is without a closer look.

Major accomplishment today was sliding onto bedside commode to use it.

A lesson for us all - set the bar at the right height and every day can become a truly great day !
Hope you can soon raise that bar a little higher.

Jay, did they use your house for that physco remake ? Arachnophobia - Shower Scene - YouTube
I guess not, or an "Indoor list" bear would have featured in that scene too, perhaps with Thomas's wind charms tinkling in the background instead of a screeching violin.

another lovely morning, 65 going to mid 80's today. Perfect summer weather.
Went to bed early, up early.

I'm going to be busy, powerwashing front of house to get spiders and bugs off. I don't know the name of the cleaning
solution my neighbor uses in his powerwashing business, but the chemicals have proven super successful in reducing/retarding the
growth of green stuff, in other words, house has stayed cleaner/whiter longer. Everything here will get covered in mold if one lets it...
Have a nice Northern Tools powerwasher with Honda GX390 and Cat pump, 4000 psi. About ten years old and just keeps running great. I make sure I run
lube and antifreeze through it each winter and it starts up fine. Without electric start, a 390 with pull start is about all I can do, bit of a kickback to deal with, already worn out one starter rope on it.

Had a choice between the 16 dollar generic starter or the 38 dollar oem one. Admit I chickened out and got the oem which took all of 30 seconds to replace.
The paint finish on that Honda part was so nice I had to look at it twice, paint looked a sixteenth of an inch thick. Not sure that's worth the extra price but
at least the oem was really nice, not the generic with a new label on it.

Last week's 100 degree weather pretty much cooked the garden. Nothing will slow the okra down, hotter the better for it.
I'm starting to clean out parts of the garden, nothing growing but weeds.

Hope you all have a nice day.

67 outside this AM. Heading to mid 80's. Need to pick up sticks when the sun comes up.

Prayers for all in need.

That was one big fat spider. That would have caused quite a stir at this place. No so much me, as the SO. And well maybe me too....LOL

Have a great day. Be safe.

Good Morning! It's 64°F (Whuuu?) here this morning and clear skys. High is forecast to be only 91° but, it looks like the end of cooler weather for a while. Maybe some rain this weekend ...... we need it badly now.

A real shame to waste the nice morning but, I have my annual heart checkup this morning in La Grange. My reward is a stop, at Hruskas in Ellinger, for a sausage, cheese, jalapeño kolache on the way home.

Drew .... I use Wet & Forget on siding.

Mix it one part W&F to five part water, in a pump-up sprayer or I use the W&F in my pressure washer foam gun. I've no idea what ratio it is but it seems to work very well and I can reach siding, on the 2nd story, from the ground.

BEF ..... hope your rehab gives you relief.

Jay ..... good luck with your 8-legged house guests.

Everyone have a great "Friday Eve" today.

Prayers to all.

61 going to 85.

Got some rain Tuesday so the weeds are starting to grow again :).

Don, I looked up Inner Space Cavern...really neat! I wonder how many unknown caves are lurking underground around all of us.

RNG, when my wife and I were first married we went to a wild cave in western Virginia with an organized group. The "guide" slipped, dislocated his shoulder and we had to help him out. Since my wife was "in charge" of the group, we had to drive him across the mountain to the closest hospital...I drove her 4 speed Rabbit diesel around the steep winding roads like a road rally due to his moaning. The doctor gave him the choice of pulling it back into position (painful) or anesthesia and a night in the hospital. Our tough guide took the night in the hospital...so we didn't get to finish our one chance or exploring the cave.

Took advantage of the low humidity and mid-50s temps in the mountains early yesterday to do a loop hike up to the top of Hawksbill Mountain. Wildflowers and ferns everywhere. Thought of BEF while there, sure he's been there. Met a nice couple from eastern NC...I think the lady wanted to take Coco home with her.

Got some chainsaw work today, and mowing along with other jobs.

I have one jug of Wet and Forget left, and was planning to spray the roof if not too windy today!

Good luck on your test and enjoy that kolache. (Now I have to go look up kolache to find out what it is).

61 degrees going for a high of 89 is almost unbelievable. I'd like to mow the yard while it's cool, but it's also dripping wet with dew, so I guess I'll have to decide whether to wait until later in the day today or tomorrow, or mow it while it's wet. I was doing a little lawn watering yesterday while wearing shorts and I once noticed 3 mosquitoes dining on my leg. It was the first time I've actually seen mosquitoes this year.
