Cant find gc1715 radiator replacement.

Ran a stick through my radiator for the 2nd time in two yrs. Need to find a new one this time. Cant repair it. Anyone know where i can get one oem or aftermarket. Thanks

Last time i tried to just replace it but couldn't just get the radiator. They wanted around $700 for the entire set up. Ill keep searching for that part#.

It's available just super expensive. Makes me wanna run and hug my radiator in my gc1710 lol

When I had my 1705 I found parts to be hard to come by and cost more than the Deere dealer.. It was the deciding factor I didn't buy another MF..

I know you said it can’t be repaired, but have you checked with a local radiator shop to see if it can be re-cored? Got any photos of the damage? What about a non-original radiator that might fit? Can you adapt another radiator? Any radiator roughly the same size with hose connections in the same general area?

Finding a core they can adapt to repair his, is perhaps possible. I'm not up on the radiator shops latest technology. Cheap aftermarket suppliers, have put most radiator shops out of business. So, I never deal with any of them anymore.

Finding another complete radiator that will work in this application, is very unlikely. Automotive radiators are not normally shaped that way, and that is where the bulk of your options are. Other tractor radiators, are going to be OEM too, and expensive. I do not believe a Kubota radiator is priced any differently. They cry just as much over in the Kubota forums about prices. Also, there is no room on a subcompact tractor to make a radiator work if it's "close". Everything is very tight in there.

No one is likely to ever make an aftermarket radiator for this application, there just aren't enough of them to make it worth the investment. Fram told me they won't even consider making an oil filter for these, due to the limited number of users.

I do hope the OP finds a way out. But, there may be no good replacement options.

Get into hot rod world and see if you can have "custom" aluminum radiator made....

There are shops that make radiators to fit your needs when a "off the shelf" unit will just not do what you need....

If you click on Dale's link, then click "shopping" at the top, there are lots of aluminum "hot rod" options for antique cars, that are closer to the shape and style a GC needs.

There seems to be limited information on size. And, they are more than likely all too big.

But, it's a place to look.

Its one of the reasons why I went MF then John Deer-so I wouldn't have to buy parts John Deer owners around here are always at the dealer buying something-thats why the parts department is so huge.

Coincidentaly the smallest parts department at any tractor dealership I saw was Kubota. To me its a sign, the smaller the parts department the better the product(and yes the sales department is similiar in size)

I would never by a John Deer here because of what owners around here go through-just my opinion though.

Had my GC2410 for 9 years and I am going to make my first out of pocket repair next week-a torn tie rod boot.

Generally this happens when the tractor runs over a stick, branch or sapling in one direction and stops to change direction with the debris still bent over beneath the tractor. Pushing into a brush pile is an excellent opportunity for this kind of damage.

As someone with a GC tractor, I'll be sure to be more cautious. Is there a plate/guard/screen available?
