Good morning!!!!

Poured first cup of coffee. 62° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with sunny skies. Never made it to the barn yesterday. Had surprise visit from good friends. When they left in late afternoon it was too hot to do anything outside. Today list is same as yesterdays. Looks like oldest son is going to visit us this week. Haven't seen him is several years. We do talk 3 or 4 times a week.

Rick, my Woodmaxx FM62H worked very well with what seem like more than enough power with Y blades. I changed over to Hammer Blades. It takes more power to cut with them. I like the cut with hammer blades. While my 22 pto hp tractor is in the recommended hp for the 62". It uses all of it to cut with hammer blades. I would think you can run a 88" with Y blades. Can your tractor handle the extra 500 lbs weight.

Randy and Buckeye get better soon.

Drew, you will notice I did not say if the Jibber Jabber was good or bad.

Roy, what was the fix.

Kyle, little early for peach's here. But Betty bought a peach pie the other day.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Eric
Thomas, you deserve some new scenery after 45 years at the same place! Is your wife looking forward to a few more fishing trips ?

Roy was that the 1903 update that did younPC in??

Actually, I restored to an earlier iteration...just have to see how it works.
I guess we all know that some updates of Windows don't work...and can actually be detrimental. That's what I think happened

I did the 1903 update a couple days ago with no problems so far. But I have a new computer with very few programs running on it other than browsers.

Good Morning!!!! 76F @ 4:15AM. Sunny. High 98F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Good to hear from you again, Randy, and that your progress is nice'n'steady. Trying to catch up on the GM blabber is a good idea only if you're having trouble getting to sleep and none of Eric's sheep need counting...

Mostly, I have to admit that I'm long on things that need doing and short on gumption to do them, especially in this hot weather. Those jack shafts aren't taking up THAT much room on the bench, and I think the big enduro bike will be more fun to ride than the van will be to drive anyway. And if I get a bit done on the sprinkler system every day, it'll get crossed off the list eventually, too...:confused2:

More horsepower is always better, Rick, but you can always slow down and still get by if the flail bogs. But that means the job takes a lot longer, something you'll tire of quickly. So name yer poison: get the big flail and it'll probably be OK on the flats when the grass is short, but you'll have to go slower and tolerate clumping if you wait too long to cut. Or get the smaller one and have the power to blast through just about anything, but you'll have to make more passes to cover the whole field. My experience is that both flail and tractor will be happier working within their capabilities, and the smaller flail is probably the better choice. But if the big flail will fit the big tractor, too, you're not taking much of a risk...

Bird, I think you're still due for a sleep in AND a nice long nap today.

FWIW, Eric, the 24 Tb NAS here stores about 1300 movies, episodes of 80 some TV shows, music from something like 400 different artists, and full backups of two laptop computers. It's only about 1/3 full, and a backup of the NAS still fits on a single 10 Tb hard drive. I'm hoping the size of hard drives continues to outpace my use of the NAS storage space because I'd hate to have to build another NAS to backup the first NAS:laughing: Satellite service is so slow that I don't think I'd live long enough to backup just one drive on a laptop, let alone restore it if it ever came to that.

In another six months, Thomas, you'll wonder how you ever found time to work a full time job!

Ran a chunk of drip line off one of the sprinkler circuits yesterday, and after I rewired the valve leaned that the little spray heads I got will indeed throw water over a 10' circle. Not a lot of water, and not real fast, which I think will be good because about 45 of 'em will be going all at once and there's only so much that the pressure pump in the well house will keep up with. So today I'll get a start on running that 0.700" line all over the front of the house, and punching the holes for the spray nozzles.

Then when it gets too warm out, I'll retreat to the garage and start installing the new instrument cluster on the enduro bike. I got the old one off yesterday, and made a table showing what color wire is connected to what on the display. So inside work today will be another table with the same information, but including the wire colors for the new instrument. And then lots of cutting, splicing, and heat shrinking the connections out in the garage. Think I'll rig a floor fan up out there to make it a little more bearable.

Hope everyone enjoys their hopefully restful Sunday!

Nice sunny day hope all enjoy their Sunday.
Daughter did a nice job on her house warming yesterday unfortunately my son's had to work and couldn't make it but she had a nice crowd.
Going to spend some time with my mother in law today so my wife can get away and have some time to relax. Dementia is a terrible disease. Hard on my wife as full time caretaker.

Good morning. It was 77°F here this morning and clear. We'll probably see at least 95°F this afternoon.

I received the new bearings, for my LS 84" RFM wheels, in the mail yesterday. Both bearings on both rear wheels had failed. I already had removed the old bearing outer races and sprayed the surfaces with Fluid Film so ..... it was quick work to press in new bearing with our HF 20 ton press. I was mowing within 45 minutes of bearing arrival.

Ron .... my LS tractor can lift 1,808 lb. on the 3-point. The FM-88H is a bit over 1,300 lb.

RNG ... I agree with all your points. If I was going to use the New Holland it would be the FM-96H.

Everyone have a great Sunday .... heading for church.

Prayers to LLC.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

I ran the A/C all night last night again due the humidity and warm temperature. It was a humid 60ºF for today’s low temperature; a humid 78ºF presently. It’s probably going to hit 80ºF with decreasing humidity later as a “cold” front rolls in. Since I last posted I have been focusing on string trimming, mowing grass, mulching the garden, and dump/fuel runs. I saw a Northern Bobwhite feeding on Autumn/Russian olive berries from our bathroom window the other morning. They are not that common anymore; a gift . Wifey ran into close friends who were at the general store with their motorcycle riding group yesterday= We had dinner with them later at a decent barbecue restaurant. Our friend is no longer on radiation and IV chemotherapy and will be starting oral form chemo this week for her breast cancer. I hope and prayer she continues to improve; she is tough and has an amazing support network including her boss and her husband’s employer.

Due to the ripening wild raspberries and blueberries. I have been avoiding the lower field and taken to walking Brogen up in the woods where it is cooler and there are no bear attractants and no ticks.

Drew- Nice looking tomatoes. My tomato plants are just starting to set out fruit. Most years my wild apples/crab apples(?) taste and look better than my domestic apples.

BEF- I am happy to read that you are + responding to treatment and wish you a full recovery. Take care and try not to push yourself too much.

Rick- The tree blindsided you and you got just revenge. I hope the window install goes well.

Kyle- Peach ice cream is one of my favorite flavors; nowadays it is peach yogurt. Our old peach tree has peaches not even close to ripening, I hope Wifey and I get a few before the squirrels get them.

David- I am happy to read that your new tractor is meeting your needs and expectations.

Ted- I still have aches&pains and stiffness after physical activity, but it is manageable.

“…. I'm getting too old for 14 hour days.”- Bird. I am impressed with your endurance. I try to avoid long days, and I believe that I am a lot younger than you. You deserve a nap. I hope your Daughter has good luck with the dental work.

Randy- I am happy to read that you are slowly gaining strength and endurance. I hope that you continue to improve.. Good luck with the medication “fine tuning.” I am sorry to read about Mom.:( My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

“…. Randy just start where you are at today. You have not missed much except a bunch of jibber jabber that always goes on here on GM.”- RonJH Our ongoing “Soap Opera” is much more entertaining and informative than what is on the daily TV; and mutually supportive as needs arise.

Eric- I am happy to read that your Wife is improving and hope/pray that she achieves full ROM.

“… Dementia is a terrible disease. Hard on my wife as full time caretaker.”- DABSGT The “Long Goodbye” becomes tougher on the Primary Care Giver than the Care Receiver as the disease progresses.:( Your Wife is a hero and so are you. Good luck.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Sunday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers,

Good morning all. Opened the fridge and found some leftover snack food for breakfast today, after a party for the oldest grandchild yesterday :licking: . He is 9 later this week, how time flies. My daughter and SIL have vegan friends so some plant based food are always on the menu. This year was a first though as the clear disposable drink cups and forks were plant based (corn starch) too as a younger generation start to turn their back on unnecessary plastics.

Thomas, you deserve some new scenery after 45 years at the same place! Is your wife looking forward to a few more fishing trips ?

BEF, good to hear they discovered the cause of your mystery illness and best of all, that it is treatable.

Randy, great to hear your wedding went well. Hope you and Ellen are soon able to enjoy the "and in health" part of your vows.

Roy, even with the decimal place inserted, 3.5 TB is still a heck of a lot of storage for most home users! How many favourite films do you keep ?

My disk storage is much more modest as I don't store video and my music collection has stayed static since I switched to streaming. I have used "cloud" storage for off-site backup for the last five years and it still hasn't got past 60 GB. Last month I dropped Dropbox and bought 500 GB of "lifetime" space with a company called pcloud, which should last me a good while pCloud - Best Lifetime Cloud Storage.

Kyle, I've never seen, let alone tasted, peach ice cream, it sounds delicious.

Happy birthday to your grandson Eric. Glad Jules is on the mend. The peach ice cream is delicious. We put the recommended amount in the mix, and my daughter and I agree we could've added even more peaches. Such a treat.

Plant based brings up a topic my friend told me. It seems that some tractor company went to using a soy or plant based wire loom for their wire harnesses and it seems the mice and rats favor it quite well....Causing many a problems. The things you don't think about when in board rooms making decisions that may not seem important, or unable to see the future problems thereof. Kind of like old school stuff myself. Watched a show called The Aviators where they were doing a show on the Goodyear blimps. The 192' blimp's design goes way back, and they had many of them. They were going to try a new design and were in the build process at the time of the show's production. Not sure how it ended up. Will have to do more research. But they have so much experience with the old style, I would have a tough time being convinced of a new design's improvements (unless many others had guinea pig'd them first).

Time to get ready for church.

Have a blessed day all.
