I despise the G infestation plaguing so many websites now. Pick a traffic light, pick a bus, pick a vehicle, pick a fire hydrant. I'm not a dog, I don't want to pick a fire hydrant!!! Why are so many websites allowing G to dictate to them?

Has anybody found a way to successfully eliminate this nuisance?

OK, I don't even know what you're talking about.

Google offers the tool for websites to use for security. If they don't use Recaptcha, they'll have to use another method to protect the site. Pick your poison, it's the world we live in. The good news is there are new methods or tools on the horizon, but we've heard that before and by the time better protection is offered, there are new ways to defeat it.

It's another step in G's evil plans to take over the web and control everything on it. I despise that company and wish them into bankruptcy. Our Uncle needs to step in and break them into little pieces ala AT&T.

That’s not a google policy. It’s done to help prevent spam robots.

Remind me not to ask Diggin It a question until he has had time to have at least three cups of coffee.

It's called "Captcha", an internet "security" device which is supposed to weed out robots. I posted a similar rant a while back. You have a mosaic of pictures and need to ID which of them have a certain feature; traffic lights, buses, store fronts, or some other allegedly obvious feature. Or there might be a series of distorted numbers, upper and lower case letters, and you have to type in what you see. The problem can be telling if that's an I, l, or 1; is that a storefront or just a picture window. or some other obscure detail. I used to enjoy them, as I like puzzles; yet they have gotten so vague that it can be almost impossible to figure out what you are looking at.

OK - NOW I know what we are talking about. Thanks for your explain - Jstpssng. I occasionally visit a site that has that feature. And, yes, some of the puzzles can be pretty vague.

I googled "g" and got nothing. Thanks to Jstpssng on post 8 we can understand what the OP is saying.

Anyone else despise acronyms?

It's not an acronym. I just dislike the company so much, I try not to advertise for them by using their name.

Sorta of like Beetlejui..., you know, bad things can happen.

How do you think Google can harm you?

What kind of bad things can Google do?

Google is our friend.

Google knows how our mind works.

Google knows what we want before we know.

Google is good
Google is great
now we thank google for our needs
google prime hooray

I see an easy solution here. Get rid of your computer if you hate google so much. It seems like the op here hates most every successful business.
