Comparison 2019+ Kubota M4D-071 and M4D-061

Here are some pages from the 2019 brochure, showing a small amount of info and specs on the new Kubota M4’s available this year. We should be seeing these pop up at our dealers this spring.

It looks like it’s going to come with an electro hydraulic transmission with “declutch” button. Do the M7060’s have this or is it new to the M4?

Bigger cab, standard buddy seat, standard rear remotes, nothing too major but it looks like some nice conveniences.

I’m surprised to see that PTO hp is down from 64 to 60 on the M4’s. I wonder what is robbing the extra 4hp?

It’s always fun to watch new models emerge!

According to Kubota, they are currently in production and should be available the first half of this year. “See your local dealer for details on when to expect them”.

I stopped by my local dealer the other day. We have been talking about upgrading to a M7060 or similar. He mentioned he received information about this tractor, but no pricing yet. He expects more information in the next few months. Sound like a nice tractor.

It is my understanding the difference in PTO horsepower is the M4 will have a different engine than the M7060.

Basically a M7060 chassis, M5 cab and new engine.

Even the chassis looks different. The area where the loader attaches seems beefier on the M4 compared to the M7060. The bell housing is different as well. assuming it was a comparable transmission version.
I had a chance to look at each model side by side at the Kubota Distribution Center in Canada.
