Looks like a bear trap. The 2 long bolts were probably bolted to some type of a wood beam. Either way, paint it up and sell it on an S&M forum.

I'm thinking that it has to do with moving/lifting a log.

Thats what i think even though parts of it does look like a bear trap but i dont see the "plate" . No doubt them "teeth" look agressive ! Oh btw i think it might be "horse drawn" ?
