Smells......difficult to have credibility w/o building any kind of rapport.
So, if I knock on your house door and ask for your feed back on your house but can't tell you who I worked for would you cooperate????

Whenever you see the word "specialist" after a vocation etc...it's reason to be leery...especially when it's as vague as "design"...
most design engineers would not really seek information at the direct consumer level IMO...they would be asking dealers (who sell them in quantity and get feedback from the consumer), repair and welding shops (especially in high agriculture regions) are another place to get information on what parts of a machine could use improvement or just reinforcing etc...
