jd 4310 pto help

Hi all our 4310 has been going good until now,the pto does not come on or runs for a bit then stops.Now when searching I see alot of pto light on and not working but mine is the light is not coming on or if it does the pto runs,so if the light is on pto works when it stops working the light also goes out.Sounded electrical to me so did a bypass on the seat switch,no change.with the key in just the run position i was working the pto switch and sometimes the light would come on and be on then go out,sometimes not come on at all.So to the switch I go find it a bit green and pull it out,run continuity test across terminals and find high resistance,no buzzer on middle row and bottom row so new switch it is.Just installed new switch,which tested good,fired it up and no go,no light.I did use dielectric grease in plug and cleaned plug end before inserting new switch,maybe the grease was not a good idea?Also when I plugged the seat switch back in I now notice the tractor quits if i'm not in the seat with no pto switches on,runs fine with seat switch bypassed.I'm kinda bumed I figure I had it licked with the switch any thoughts on this would be great.

Ok so more info,I checked solenoid for continuity and is good resistance is 11.3 which is in spec,the yellow wire from switch to solenoid test good as well,so i'm back to switch here is where i'm at.Testing for power at plug for pto switch i have 1 hot with key in run orange wire nothin else hot.plug in to the switch and all outer terminals show power but when i pull switch on all power is gone except the feed wire/orange,seems odd that it does not switch power any place.THis is a new switch and does pass continuity test.CAn this new switch be bad?? What is this switch switching?If I send power to middle prong of top row via a jumper the pto runs and light on dash comes on,pto works no problem so something i'm missing in the electrical.I don't know how the power is supposed to get the solenoid if this switch does not send it,is there another power feed that the switch is supposed to get when turned to the run position?
