Poured first cup of coffee. 43° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with rain in late afternoon. Got pond cleaned and all shrubs planted yesterday. Like Buppies I am sore today. Need to repair drain pipe for AC and Humidifier today. Some how it broke. Then I will join Looking and conserve energy.

Turns out I have a First Choice core aerator and not a Best Choice. My ad on Facebook Marketplace was correct. Did find tines for it.

Wife like butter on everything. I never put butter on anything. She uses Brummel & Brown made with some yogurt. It is always soft.

Miracle whip is my favorite with BLT's. Miracle whip, toast, and fresh tomatoes from garden are good also.

Randy, good news on your Mom. We did that with my Mom. Turned out she only needed 2 of the 8 pills she was taking.

LS, going to be a long wait until Tuesday. Hope you have some projects to do.

CWB, I thought the engine at The Henry Ford was a Big Boy. Wrong. It's a Allegheny Steam Locomotive. Sure would be nice to see one of these Big Boys out on the tracks.

I seriously doubt the cost difference would significantly impact our food budget. Some items just aren’t price sensitive.

I agree, but I'll try the cheaper stuff. If I like it, I stay with it, if not, change.:laughing:

71 degrees this morning, going for a high of 85. I was up and down the ladder most of the morning yesterday, cleaning the eaves of the house under the rain gutters, and I learned that my old knees aren't made for that anymore.:laughing:

Good morning! 61˚F heading to the mid 80s cloudy.

The garden was saturated from all the rain so I turned off the timer irrigation and am going to try to dry it out. Rain is expected the next three days. The potatoes nave not bloomed so they are not ready to pick, they are only about golf ball size now. The fennel plant that was there when I took it over is starting to bloom. Got another two meals of collards picked yesterday (from my 3 plants) and my wife made a batch of collard/blackbean/pumpkinseed burritos for 5th May.

Found another club to join and was there yesterday for a few hours. It's the Cards/domino/games club. They taught us how to play canasta/hand and foot cards and it will be a good thing to do when temps get over 100 and in the evening when the wood working shop is closed. I hear they get very competitive on Mondays.

Randy, my Uncle was on hospice and they took him off his meds and he got better and had to go off hospice and lived for another two years.

Oh almost forgot all butter/margarine/MW/mayonnaise are nixed on my mandatory heart healthy diet so substitutes that add flavor to foods must be modified. I get most of the same flavors, butter or sour cream from cashews soaked and blended with garlic and other spices.

CWB, hope Big Boy makes it to the celebration. I'd love to be there. Did you ever hear of the TV series called **** on Wheels? Great show that followed the railroads building and fighting to ultimately get to that point in Utah.

Got to see Steve Winwood/Traffic in Williamsburg many years ago, but we were just as excited to see JJ Cale, who opened the show.

JJ had that wild guitar.

Mom was back to being unresponsive yesterday, I guess it’s the roller coaster I have to deal with until the end. I stayed with her two hours yesterday. I told her if she got too tired my dad and brother are waiting for her, and I will be fine until my time comes.
When the battle is best surrendered...
