Could that be a big uh-oh?
Major uh-oh. The groom’s priest made frantic calls to find a go-around but all the plans were stopped dead in their tracks. The rehearsal came to a grinding nail biting stop!

Marriage license was left in Houston 7 hour round trip.
Her sister was still in Houston and even though she was tearing the house apart looking for it she couldn’t find it.
The almost bride was in tears.

A very stressful hour later her sister called that she had found it and s cheers went up in the parking lot where the bridal group was starting to leave. They can now share anniversaries with Bird.

Good Morning, (almost afternoon).
I was so so wrong.
Last week my niece was fretting over her upcoming wedding and I told her that things will go wrong not to worry as long as the pastor, the bride and the groom show up the rest is fluff.
I missed one thing. She did too.

Now you have us in suspense....

Ted- Thanks for sharing your flowering shrub pictures.

David- Good luck with you and Sophie hosting your neighborhood potluck dinner.

It seems to me that most weddings involve their share of high drama, crisis, and confusion. Don- I am happy that the marriage license was found in time.

Wifey made most of our wedding arrangements while I was working down in the Costa Rican jungle. All I had to do was return home as scheduled and wear a suit  We got married by a JP in a wine cellar; an inducement for my return home.. I could have stayed down in the "Osa," only the wanted and un-wanted live down there;)

Don- The "Osa Peninsula" in southern CR is more wild than developed. It has always been known as a place where one can "disappear" from legal and/or personal entanglements;). This area is also known for its blue water fishing. I still cannot convince Wifey to vacation there. Some of the resorts now advertise WIFI and A/C and no need for bed mosquito netting.

Wifey & I bought air fryer cookbooks today. I can see modifying many of our normal meals for air frying.

Today's brunch left us stuffed and in need of naps. There was an impressive array of buffet food items with carving and egg stations. $27 for all one can eat with unlimited coffee, mimosas, and bulinis can be a bargain or a liability depending on food choices.;)

And that little problem sounds worse than our wedding. We actually got married in her aunt and uncle's home on a Wednesday evening. The preacher was supposed to come straight there after his Wednesday evening prayer service, but he got lost, so we began to think he wasn't coming when he finally called to get more directions. And while we're waiting for him and with my wife's aunt and uncle, their boy and girl, my parents, a cousin of mine and his wife all there in the house, the lady who lived alone across the street came in the front door with a loaded and cocked .38 revolver in her hand. She had thought she heard a prowler outside a short time ago, so she had gone and bought that .38. The night before our wedding, she again thought she heard something outside, so had gotten her new .38, loaded it, and cocked it. Then she realized that she had no idea how to uncock it. But she knew my cousin, who was also a police officer, and I were there that night, so she came over for one of us to show her how to uncock that .38. Aah yes, interesting evening that day. My wife's uncle had made a BIG bowl of champagne punch that sure was good. Even my Mother, whom I'd never known to drink any kind of alcoholic beverage liked it.
