Stomper 4x4 trucks were a pretty big deal to me as well.

I don't think that I could pick a single best or favorite. Different years I had different things that were the best thing to me.

I had the high end version, the carbide cannon. Freaked the dog and neighbors out. I've still got it, and a couple I found at yard sales. My boys love them, but the dog hates them.

Anyone else remember model rockets ?

I had alot of model rockets. I guess the parents liked them because parts were cheap and I could be entertained for hours designing and building them. After I lost dang near all of them I made, dad bought pink and yellow marking paint to use on them. I don't know if I would rather lose a rocket or be able to find a pink one....

I remember there were different engines for the different stages. I would use them incorrectly to (try to)make the rocket go higher.

Your parents weren't cheap ,mine wouldn't buy the motors they were to expensive . So all the rockets I built never flew. They all burnt nicely when I tried to make a motor out of gas and heads of matches cut off and packed tight.:mischievous: Looked like something out of M.A.S.A. Mexican Aeronautic and Space Administration.:sarcastic::drink:

We couldn't afford the rocket kits, so we'd just by the engines and tape them to G.I. Joe's back. Man, he was a tough dude!!!!

We were not well off. Dad had recently bought an old farm, (350 acres) so toys
, if even available to buy, were very rare so what we got, we appreciated.
One of my favourites was a hand gun that blew holes in a strip of paper cut off the edge of a news paper. My brother found this pic a couple of days ago.
I am second from the left holding my gun. This pic is around 65 years old.
