Wheel Lug Torque spec

I thought those "lug nut flags" were to remind the service staff to check all the lug nuts PIOR to sending a new vehicle out to a waiting customer.

But, maybe that's what you meant. I just can't see all customers being prepared with an appropriate torque wrench and the knowledge/ability.

My left rear wheel almost fell off , I kept finding bolts on my gravel road and I knew they were coming off the tractor but I couldn't figure out where . there not typical lug nuts so I never looked at the wheels . Then I finaly saw there were only two bolts holding the wheel on .

Thats scary! A rear wheel/tire falling off on its own would almost certainly be a nightmare to get back on! Especially if they are filled.

As a reminder for all, check the torque often!
