Britain is still very much a "tea" country (they still prefer bathtubs over showers also). Lived/worked in Switzerland years ago and can confirm they do love their coffee. Very expensive machines making one cup at a time ("drip" or "perc" is a sin).

I tried coffee a couple of times when I was in my 20's. I hated it. For all I care if they never grow another bean, I am good with it. I like iced tea (unsweetened) and drink a lot of that. I don't drink hot tea. Hot chocolate is OK once or twice a year in the dead pf winter, but since "global warming" has taken hold, I don't even do that. Nope, not a fan of hot drinks I guess.

You might want to use powdered hot cocoa mix in a cup of coffee. Serves as a creamer and you get the chocolate.

Yeah, same here. Not much of a hot drink guy myself. When I met my wife she kind of got me drinking tea, but that's still it. Never figured out the appeal of coffee. Nasty tasting stuff. Not much of one for hot chocolate either, maybe had a half dozen cups in my entire life.
On the other hand, I don't do super cold drinks either. Cool, but not cold. If I buy a bottled soda from a convenience store I have to let it sit for a half hour before I can drink it. I always shake my head at the people who fill the cup full of ice at one of those self-serve soda fountains. Don't they realize that they're paying for a full cup, but only getting maybe a quarter cup? It's plenty cold right out of the fountain.

Doesn’t matter to me if coffee is GOOD for you or BAD for you or whatever. I thoroughly enjoy ONE cup first thing in the morning and another sometime in the afternoon.

I buy beans from Costco on sale and it works out to 19 cents Cdn per cup for a GOOD cup of coffee. I only have coffee at home. Never when out.




Edit. I guess to answer the question, for me, I would have to say no. I could get by just fine without it. Miss it, sure, but there’s better things to worry about

Same here. My wife drinks it but I cant stand it

One short black espresso to start my day, spoon almost stands up in it, love a good strong espresso and not the anemic stuff some of the coffee shops sell, I am on about my 5th espresso machine, I wear them out but this is my first pod machine which I was a bit dubious about, I needn't have worried but it took a few weeks to find a good pod.

I do HiTest in the mornings and during the day in cold weather. In warm weather, I switch to Iced versions. At night I often keep a mug of NoLead beside the bed to sip on overnight if the mood strikes.

Tried to like the stuff when I was young because dad drank it. Soon realized if ya have to develop a taste for something it aint no good to start with. So I found some other vices to indulge in that were good from the start

That's a fact! I have had about 4 cups TOTAL in the last 50 + years! And even less tea!

Both are pretty much a waste of money in my book! lol

I have an Aunt that drank coffee all day long her whole life. A few years ago after many intestinal problems the doctor told her if she wants to live give up the coffee. She now drinks tea all day long.:laughing:

Myself, I think coffee taste like bad flavored water.....but a coke sure taste good.:licking:
