Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #92,081
Up early, kept waking up thinking of things I need to do to be in Europe for a week. Likely have to leave Saturday. And actually expected to have some info on which city I need to be in. Check mail/texts........nada. This doesn稚 give me a warm fuzzy about the size of the crisis.... Guess I can make reservations for Frankfurt. I can get anywhere in Germany or France by train, plane or automobile from Frankfurt.

Good morning, 38 now, 74 later. Sounded like rain during the night. Trees are showing signs of life. As is everything else. Spring is definitely here.

Nice ride Don!

Well, time for another cup of coffee......today is gonna be a long one.....

Everyone have a safe and good day

Drinking first cup of coffee. 32° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with cloudy skies. Bomb Cyclone passed over here last night. Left about 1" of snow on grass. It should be gone by evening. Watch snow melt will be the chore for today.

Have a DR appointment this morning. After reading some of the Dr comments. Decided it was time to change my primary care Dr. So canceled Fridays appointment and made a appointment at a new primary care Dr. Sure hope this one works out. Old one was stuck on filling out computer documents without doing any doctoring. Not required to wear a mask to this one. Although in some cases is not a bad idea. I fell on my right side last week. Pain is not going away. Hope it's just old age.

Don, nice car. I was thinking the red they show on their Stinger site would be your color of choice. :D

Mostly, great Medal of Honor tribute parade.

Eric, so you and Max do not have worms. :cool2:

Bird, hang in there. It will not be long and you will need to report that you need rain. ;)

Drew, I will guess that Don's wife got the 2.0L engine.

WCD, nice bloom picture.

Prayers for all in need.

Good Morning All.

I remember doing similar trips to europe. One of them required the replacing of a $.05 fuse. All together 24 hours of travel and 1 hour to fix machine and give a training session on how to maintain item that blew fuse. Had to spend a night in Italy because there no flights back home until next day. I could have fixed problem over the phone in about 10 minutes. But upper management was sure the only way to fix problem was send a tech. :confused3: No jet lag on that trip.

Good morning! A bit cooler today, 42 now and 61 later with an east wind.

Drew, like Ron said, I believe the Premium has the 255 horse 2.0 turbo. Still very powerful.

Went to visit mom, signs are not good, I’m afraid she might not make it the 4 days to her birthday.

Wngsprd, I hope your water issues are solved.

Prayers all around.

I feel your pain, Rich. Last time I flew into Frankfurt, it took me three days to get over the jet lag. Didn't sleep at all for two nights.

I once traveled half way across the country to a meeting that was cancelled. Went right back to the airport and made it home in the wee hours of the next day.

Another time I flew coast-to-coast to fix a computer only to find that someone had left a notebook laying on the keyboard, sending an endless stream of characters into the program and crashing it. They sent three of us to fix that one when all it would have taken was for one of the customer's maintenance personnel to make a quick trip to take a look at it.

The last straw was the time I was told I had to travel on a Sunday to be somewhere Monday to do something a coworker that was already in that location had already volunteered to do. The sentiment expressed to me was that sometimes I should just do as I was told. I "fired" that particular manager and solidified my plans to retire the next year.

Rick, putting a bed on a corvette just spoiled the image of every sports car.

I thought you were looking at SUVs, Don. That looks more like a race car? Also looks like a lot of fun to drive, as long as you can get in and out of it easily ;)

But at the end of the day, as long as the misses is happy, everybody's happy, right?

It's easy getting in the car. To get out just I roll out on the ground and use my cane to get up -easy peasy-.

yup, the combo of 365 boosted horsepower and a not SUV heavy vehicle makes for an easy
passing car. Very similar acceleration stats to my old Jaguar's supercharger whine.
The Stinger is called a GT for honest reasons, it is, and comes with a true fun pedal plus gets good mileage.
It's light years more sophisticated than most US comparable products.
The South Koreans make very good cars, eating Japan's lunch I'd say.

Don, nice car. I was thinking the red they show on their Stinger site would be your color of choice. :D

Drew, I will guess that Don's wife got the 2.0L engine.

Ron is mostly right it is the 4 not the GT 6, but is surprisingly peppy. Ron would have been 100% right if he would have said "Don got the 2.0 L engine".

I did briefly consider the base GT model not because of the extra 2 cylinders but because it came without a hot sunroof, but it then lost most of the comfort features. The Premium features are added to the GT2 model and a few more than I have to the GT3 but then the $$$ would take the fun out.

When I took it out for an around the block test drive and the young 20 something salesman did not have anything to do so we dove it 20 miles to my house to get the thumbs up from my wife and then bought it the next day. It does have all the perks. I can now take a nap while driving with the self steering and adaptive cruise control. When I get a new phone (Apple 8 or higher) it can charge it wirelessly (now I have to plug in my SE) while using Apple Car Play or it's navigation. The biggest plus, and I really smiled, when I heard the warning beeps for lane departure, back up radar, blind spot, etc . . In the other vehicles (except the Mazda) the beeps were at a frequency that I could not hear making all the safety features useless.

Got up to 92˚F yesterday and the AC (ventilated) seats work soooo good. They are now a must in every new vehicle I buy.

Good morning! 68˚F heading to the mid 80s. Gray 2 was feeling bad so we took him to the vet yesterday, to get a few meds, he seems to be fine today. Maybe today I can finish the yard. Wood shop 101 starts today along with some seat time at the gardens. Potatoes are taking off.

Don, you could have had the Corvette ZR1, 4 door, 7 speed, LT5 supercharged V8 engine with 755-hp and 715 lb. ft. of torque.

0-60 mph in 3 seconds and 212 mph top speed.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 4:15AM. Cloudy skies this morning will become partly cloudy this afternoon. High 67F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Sorry to hear about your mom, Randy. Hopefully a second wind will spring up to carry her to her birthday?

If getting out of the new car involves rolling on the ground, Don, it's a good thing your wife will be using it most of the time. How long do you suppose it'll take you to tire of all the chimes and bells and start looking for a way to silence them?:confused2:

Glad you found a plumber that would come when needed, Wng. Will they be your go to plumber now?

That sounded like a lot of cement and sand to be mixing by hand, Eric. Will you continue with your brick re-pointing, or do you have a bigger project in mind?

Still need to shoot bed liner on the spare tire mount, but it works and I took it for a test drive yesterday, mainly to see if the new engine/differential mounts made any difference in the drive line vibration. They did, and not in a good way. The small vibration between 25 and 30 MPH has moved to a bigger vibration between 30 and 45 MPH. I didn't do anything special to check alignment when I did the install, so that'll be the first thing I check tomorrow. I want to make a run into town with it today to see if the oil pan is still leaking. I've also got an appointment with another solar installer; I haven't heard from the first electrical contractor in two weeks, and if I'm going to have something by the time fire season starts, I need to find an alternative supplier.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

That's an amusement park ride acceleration. I think it was "Greased Lighting" in Astroworld.
Wow, that's 3 seconds faster than ours! Converting seconds to dollars that's - $7,500.00 per second for the KIA and I bet it's $20,000.00 per second comparing to the Corvette. That's like trading 1 second for a LS tractor instead of winning one. :cool2:

Good morning All,

42F this am is quite a bit chillier than the last several mornings. Forecast is for partly sunny and 57 today. Nice Kia Don- good luck with it.

About two weeks. (It will take me at least that long to read the manual)
But I'll leave the blind spot and rear backup warnings on. The assisted steering is something that feels like driving in deep sand ruts in the country. You really don't have to steer out of them but you can.

Jay, I'm on page 15 of the owners manual, have 485 pages left.

It's 67°F this good morning and expecting 85°F this afternoon. Rain in the forecast for Saturday.

I managed to get more weed spraying done yesterday morning until the wind came up, about lunch time. We were getting 16-18 mph winds with gusts over 25.

Spent the balance of the day on the ZT mowing.

I need to install a set of new Gator Blades on both the ZT and our 84" rear finish mower to be ready when I "get permission", to cut all the wildflowers, from my supervisor.

I also need to hookup the 3-point chain harrow and knock down some old gopher mounds in two pastures.

Hope everyone has an excellent "Friday Eve".

Prayers to all.

See if there's an e-version of that manual so you can read it on your iPhone, Don. That way you'll always have a copy handy and maybe figure a way out when it locks you inside.

Yes it's keyless and that reminds me, I still haven't figured all the options of that FOB. #1 on the list today.

I already had to get a QR reader app for my iPhone to look at all the instructional videos attached to the manual instructions.

OK Rick, make that $35,000.00 per second.

Good morning to all! Low of 28, going up to 50. Still windy, didn't stop all night, but slowed to a 35-40 rate. Today gusts to 50, sustained winds 25-30.

Randy, I hope your mom rests peacefully and is comfortable. Prayers sent for her and family.

Don sounds like you're going to enjoy the car a lot!

RNG, hope you can isolate that gremlin vibration. Frustrating when you fix somethings and problems get worse.

Rich, maybe, just maybe, they can fix the problem before you have to depart....

Drew, it must be very peaceful in the greenhouse so eary in the morning....just the sounds of nature...until the neighborhood wakes up!

Need to go get ready for the ortho doc appt. Today's appt. is early, so it will entail fighting rush hour traffic.

Everyone have a great day! Prayers for all!
