Getting read for fire abatement here in Southern California. Finally getting around to putting a new seal on the 3 point piston. If I dropped the throttle to idle or shut the engine off, the attachment would drop.
3 point hitch piston pulled out.

The seal on the piston was just crumbs. After 35 years, the two o-rings were still pliable, but since I had new ones, in they went.

All cleaned up and installed.

Now, the 3 point stays up, AND the front loader is a bit more perky. I probably spent more time cleaning off dirt and grime, then cracking loose the bolts than putting new the new seal and o-rings.
