Sounds interesting. I'd go for weight, frame, and wider tire settings myself, but actually prefer the smoother way most 3 cylinder engine run.
What I'm trying to do is find a website where I can specify what I want in a Branson tractor and the site will give me a price. Most tractor manufacturers have that feature online. I think Kubota's is "Build your Kubota". And I know I've used a similar feature for other tractor brands. But I can't seem to find that info for Branson. Anyone have a link? I'll post this down on the Branson site and ask there too.
rScotty

I wasn't able to find an online price on them either. Same with many tractor brands I was looking at. In fact, talking to a couple of dealers, Kioti to be specific, I learned that they are not allowed to list their prices online. I got the same answer from an LS dealer. In all my searching Kubota was the only manufacturer that I was able to find an online price, although it was a much higher price than I was about to look seriously at.

The only build it pricing i have seen is the "American" big 3;
CIH or as its' called now CNH,
Agco which has several brands,
and John Deere,
I understand Kubota has it also.
They all just work with MSRP which I don't think is an accurate out the door pricing.
Branson has there model lineup and to my knowledge there are very limited factory options,
most all options will be dealer installed.

I just checked a few of the most popular brands, most have that "Build it" feature on their website: Massey & Yanmar & New Holland & Kubota & Deere just to name the first ones I checked.
MSRP is fine with me; the final price is always negotiable. I'm just trying to look at relative prices and features to get a feel for how the tractors really compare.

I'm one of those who like to do some homework - and maybe some daydreaming - before I take a trip to the dealer. Probably that's not so rare. After all, we are rural.

I'd rather have options installed by the factory than by my local used car dealer... although for simple stuff if it works I don't really care. But I need to know how much $$ and what is available.
For instance, the other brands I checked give me a choice of tires, or of loaders, buckets, remotes and a price for these things. I know how to do my homework with those.
So back to my original question... How do I do that with Branson?

I don't believe that you can at this time.
I don't think you can with LS, Kioti, TYM or Branson
Good Luck.

Congratulations on your new tractor, and please post some pictures and some close ups of how it is equipped. Also a little later post back and tell us your opinion of it after having used it a bit. Tell us the things you like and the things you dislike if there are any. Happy tractoring! ..

Thanks all! Yesterday when I went to my dealer for a test drive I talked to an old timer loading up a ratted out, beat up 2008 Branson of similar size. He said his family bought their first tractor in 1957, so he's not new to tractors. He said you couldn't ask for a better tractor than these Bransons. Sealed the deal for me!! Now all we need is a break in the rain so I can play with my new toy, Ehhh hmmmm I mean use my new tool. :cool2: :drink:

Better be careful who you talk to if you're that influenced by others, you might find someone who will talk you into a Studebaker.

good call over a used one. That model in a package is well under $20k around here and a popular Branson model

My studeabaker ran perfectly and never gave me a day of trouble, so that might not be as bad as you think.

Good thing he is not the only person I talked too. Good thing I did my homework and tirelessly researched these and all tractors.

Hydro trans does not have a clutch...You should by a new tractor with a extended warranty and a dealer close by......

YES THIS
My little Kubota is hydro and has a clutch. I just use it to engage PTO.
BUT just get a new one. Unless you are getting considerable value. If close in price and they are both what you think you want get the new one.
