Serial # Breakdown

Does anyone know the breakdown of the Bobcat serial numbers? I'm trying to determine the year of my tractor.

I called the local dealer to get the year of manufacture for mine.

I called Doosan/Bobcat in Fargo. They said there wasn't anyway to determine the year via the # but he could tell me when it was shipped and that would determine when it was manufactured.

Interesting, my dealer in Longview Tx just told me mine was 2008 year model. Might have been looking at shipping date for all I know. He didn't elaborate. My s/n is a9jy11982

Phone Doosan in Fargo. Not the Fargo Bobcat dealer but Doosan. Find them on Google maps. They're off the interstate I94 on the very western edge of town.
